JUST IN: 🇷🇺🇫🇮 Russia Threatens Countermeasures As Finland Opens Door To Nuclear Weapons Moscow says it will take “effective” political and military technical measures after Finland removed its decades old legal ban on bringing nuclear weapons into the country. Finland can now legally permit nuclear weapons to enter its territory in circumstances tied to national defence, NATO collective defence or defence cooperation. 🇷🇺 Russia says the move creates a new security threat on its border. 👀 With Finland sharing a 1,340-km border with Russia, tensions are rising sharply along NATO’s northern flank. But Finland says the law change does not mean nuclear weapons are being stationed there now, and its government says there are currently no NATO plans to station them in Finland. The nuclear map of Europe is changing.

The Kremlin has reacted to Finnish Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen’s declaration that Helsinki plans to allow nuclear weapons on its territory. Russia and Finland share a 1,340 km border: DMITRY PESKOV: "We’ve seen this statement, and it clearly escalates tensions in Europe. What it really does is make Finland more vulnerable, and those vulnerabilities are the result of decisions made by the Finnish authorities themselves. "The moment Finland starts hosting nuclear weapons on its territory, it effectively becomes a threat to us. And if Finland poses a threat to Russia, we will respond accordingly."

Together with President of Finland Alexander Stubb Alexander Stubb, we took part in a roundtable meeting on Ukrainian-Finnish cooperation in the defense industry. Today, we are taking another step toward deepening our cooperation by combining Ukraine’s combat experience with Finnish technologies. Our companies signed documents on the development and production of drones in Finland for the needs of Ukraine and Europe, expanding capabilities in the field of uncrewed naval systems, and establishing a company to manufacture UGVs. On these important dates – National Flag Day and the eve of Independence Day – we especially feel the value of true friendship. I thank the President, the government, Finnish businesses, and the entire people of Finland for standing with us since the first days of this war.

Lukashenko on nuclear weapons: If we approach the matter from the standpoint of fairness, does the United States of America possess nuclear weapons? Yes, it does. Okay, the United States is the pioneer of nuclear weapons and has held them for a long time. But Israel remains quiet about the fact that it has nuclear weapons. The Iranians could ask, “Why can’t we have nuclear weapons?” Especially when nearby India and Pakistan are nuclear powers. Why can’t Iran have nuclear weapons? If we want fairness, let us gradually, step by step, eliminate all nuclear weapons in the world. But if nuclear weapons are a deterrent, a guarantee that no one will ever attack you, then Iran has the right, like other nations, to possess nuclear weapons for its own defense.

Strengthening sanctions against Putin's shadow fleet and coordinating efforts with our allies were the key topics of my meeting with President of Finland Alexander Stubb Alexander Stubb. We also discussed defense assistance for Ukraine and investments in the production of Ukrainian long-range weapons. I also shared details of my engagements with the new U.S. Presidential administration, as well as my meetings and discussions with European leaders. It is crucial to work together with all allies to develop reliable security guarantees that will ensure true peace and prevent the return of aggression. We are grateful to Finland for its unwavering support and for all efforts to end the war. 🇺🇦🇫🇮

Putin Placing Nuclear Weapons in Belarus 1. Moscow will station tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. 2. Putin claims this will not violate nuclear nonproliferation agreements. 3. Russia has moved 10 aircraft to Belarus that are capable of carrying tactical nuclear weapons 4. He also said “we are not transferring our nuclear weapons to Belarus but will station them there, like the United States does in Europe.” Are we on the brink of WW3 and nuclear annihilation?
