Last week, Rees-Mogg claimed that tax breaks aren’t subsidies and challenged me to do my homework. Well, I did. Turns out, the Subsidy Control Act 2022, a piece of Brexit legislation, was passed when you were Brexit minister and it clearly states tax breaks are subsidies... Time to brush up on your own laws Jacob Rees-Mogg - will you now admit that in fact it was you who was wrong?
