80-YEAR-OLD WITH PARKINSON’S ARRESTED FOR TRESSPASSING ON HIS OWN PROPERTY. ​This bodycam footage shows an incident involving the Orange City Police Department in Volusia County, Florida, as they arrest 80-year-old Edward Bowman. ​The entire encounter stemmed from a civil disagreement over property rights. Official Volusia County property appraiser records and mortgage statements confirm that Edward Bowman is a rightful owner of the home and property, and he actively pays the mortgage on it. His stepdaughter (seen in the red top) also shares ownership rights to the property. ​A tenant renting a mother-in-law suite behind the main house called the police, claiming Bowman and his stepdaughter were trespassing. The tenant asserted that while Bowman lived on the land, he didn't have the right to enter the main house. ​When Orange City Police officers arrived, the stepdaughter explained she had already spoken with a deputy earlier that morning who confirmed the situation was a civil property matter. The responding officers gave her and Bowman a single warning to leave or face arrest. ​The Stepdaughter: Officers arrested her for trespass.
