BREAKING: Extremely sad scene show the world’s last KC-747 tanker (Boeing 747-131F), 5-8107, on fire following an Israeli airstrike at Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran on March 7, 2026. The IDF falsely claimed that the aircraft was associated with the Quds Force, which is absolutely untrue. It was a tanker aircraft used to refuel F-4E Phantom IIs and was a veteran of Operation H-3, having refueled IRIAF F-4Es that struck the H-3 air bases in Iraq on April 4, 1981. 1981 was also the last year this aircraft flew to Syria, when it refueled IRIAF F-4Es at an altitude of just 100 feet over the Iraqi-Syrian border. It was never used by the Quds Force and never carried any weapons or ammunition for them. The aircraft was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time when the Israeli Air Force targeted Mehrabad Airport in Tehran. It was not alone. The strikes also destroyed two passenger Boeing 747s (one of them already decommissioned) and two civilian cargo Boeing 747s, in addition to three Iranian Air Force Boeing 747s, one KC-707 tanker and two RC-707 reconnaissance aircraft that were bombed at Mehrabad Airport on March 7, 2026. BREAKING: Extremely sad scene show the world’s last KC-747 tanker (Boeing 747-131F), 5-8107, on fire following an Israeli airstrike at Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran on March 7, 2026. The IDF falsely claimed that the aircraft was associated with the Quds Force, which is absolutely untrue. It was a tanker aircraft used to refuel F-4E Phantom IIs and was a veteran of Operation H-3, having refueled IRIAF F-4Es that struck the H-3 air bases in Iraq on April 4, 1981. 1981 was also the last year this aircraft flew to Syria, when it refueled IRIAF F-4Es at an altitude of just 100 feet over the Iraqi-Syrian border. It was never used by the Quds Force and never carried any weapons or ammunition for them. The aircraft was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time when the Israeli Air Force targeted Mehrabad Airport in Tehran. It was not alone. The strikes also destroyed two passenger Boeing 747s (one of them already decommissioned) and two civilian cargo Boeing 747s, in addition to three Iranian Air Force Boeing 747s, one KC-707 tanker and two RC-707 reconnaissance aircraft that were bombed at Mehrabad Airport on March 7, 2026. President Trump switches planes in the U.K. on his return to Washington after the NATO Summit, disembarking the older Air Force One and boarding the newer Boeing 747 gifted by Qatar and refurbished for presidential use. In a Truth Social post, Trump said he initially flew the older Air Force One so he could stop at RAF Mildenhall and show the new aircraft to U.S. servicemembers stationed there, saying the visit came at the request of the base and added "virtually no deviation" to his return flight. Trump is returning to Washington following the NATO summit in Turkey.

The new "Bridge" Air Force One is almost here, maybe July 4th! ✈️ This summer (as soon as next month), the U.S. Air Force will take delivery of a heavily modified Boeing 747-8i that will serve as an interim presidential aircraft while the full VC-25B replacements are still in development. Freshly painted in a striking new red, white, and blue livery with gold accents, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" lettering, and the American flag on the tail, it's a beautiful update to the presidential fleet. This Qatar-donated jet (converted by L3Harris) will bridge the gap until the two all-new VC-25Bs arrive around 2028.
