Mayday (🌟🌟🌟🌟) really surprised me. I had a blast watching this last night & it’s a reminder of just how hilarious & talented Kenneth Branagh is, who at 65 is a legend in his own right. You guys know I don’t love Ryan Reynolds but he’s palatable in this film thanks to Branagh. Available tomorrow on Apple TV, Mayday is well worth your time.

That was my baby, you know! Way back before you came in.” (Branagh directed the first “Thor” movie in 2011). Ryan Reynolds would bring Doomsday down & I’m on my hands & knees praying to God that Reynolds does not show up on December 18th & sully what’s supposed to be a promising release for Marvel. Like am I asking for too much here? The last thing I need is Reynolds dancing to boy-band music in Doomsday. His whole schtick as Deadpool is so overplayed & so obnoxious, it would interfere with a film that I think actually has an opportunity to do something meaningful. Reynolds needs to just stay away.

Deadpool & Wolverine is a film I try to forget. Look, I don’t normally get this critical about films (I’m here to promote Cinema, not shit on it), but man…this film was brutal. Chris Evans & Ryan Reynolds are the two actors I’ve consistently criticized the most since I started this account. But Evans is different than Reynolds. I’ve always felt like Evans is capable of so much more. Reynolds? This is kind of his jam. And that jam ain’t for me.

FIRST LOOK: Wicker is an upcoming romantic fantasy that stars Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgård, and Peter Dinklage and is directed by Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson. The idea here is that Colman plays a fisherwoman who pays a local basketmaker to weave her a custom husband out of…you guessed it- wicker. This looks interesting but I’m not sure it’s worthy of being added to my Letterboxd watchlist just yet. I’ll need to read more about this one before tossing her on the watchlist.

Ryan Reynolds says his Deadpool casting destiny became obvious while he was filming Blade: Trinity (2004). An executive at another studio saw a piece of the film and told him, “Trust me, if they ever make a movie about Deadpool, you’re the only guy that can play Deadpool.” The executive then sent Reynolds several Deadpool comics, and the very first issue he opened contained a bizarre coincidence. “The first issue I opened up, I was on the panel. Deadpool was saying that I look like a cross between Ryan Reynolds and a Shar-Pei.” Reynolds says he immediately realized how strange the coincidence was: “I was like, ‘Jesus, this is fing destiny. What the hell?’”*

BOOMI MY NEW GROK DEVICE! I HAVE Grok ON AN OLD APPLE WATCH MADE IN TO A RETRO IPOD! Still working on it but my goal to have a remote single purpose Grok device has been achieved! With the benefits of posting my grifter slop on to X from this device also (that is another article). And a minimal phone. So how did I do it? First I got this IPod converter kit: it is a beautiful device to hold made of Aluminum. Second I got this app: “Ask Watch AI” it has a free version. Third I got my XAI Grok API Key: Toss a few bucks in the account to fund it. Finally I set up the system by answering questions. This is my first run. I am coding an app for the Apple Watch that will be easier than pressing “done”. I will write a full article on it as soon as I get it done. My goal is to use the cell plan on this Apple Watch and to have a minimal phone and Grok device. Soon these devices will be sent to Starlink. With full Grok Bot and Grok Build. No need for an OS or an App. Obviously this is an Apple Watch but soon it will be a device like this of course with a camera too.

The Furious has been on my watchlist for a minute but I felt like this had an extremely brief theatrical window. Nevertheless, I blame myself for not seeing this in theaters. With that said, tonight’s the night I’m finally catching this movie- a movie countless people have told me I need to see. I’ll report back with my review on this here app later this weekend. Wish me luck.
