First, we urgently need a ceasefire and peace❗️Then we must define Ukraine - its borders, its population. As of right now, we do not even know what or where Ukraine is ‼️ Finally, once peace and clarity have been restored, we can make lasting agreements with Russia and lay... show more

Finnish President Stubb: Russia has been waging its war of aggression against Ukraine for almost four years. Its actions are illegal and immoral. We are closer to peace than ever during the war, but at the same time we cannot be sure whether Russia is ready for peace. Peace is most often a compromise, and we must prepare for the fact that all parts of a peace agreement will likely not meet our sense of justice. However, we will do everything we can to ensure that Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity are preserved. Ukraine is part of a free and democratic Europe now and in the future. We will continue to support Ukraine, we will not tire, and together with our allies we will ensure that Russia will never again attack its neighbor.

Ursula von der Leyen: "When I talk about security, we must talk about Ukraine, a proud European nation that continues to fight for our freedoms, both as a future member of our Union and as Europe’s first line of defense. Europe will always stand with Ukraine, no matter what is happening elsewhere. We all want this horror and bloodshed to end — and no one wants peace more than the people of Ukraine. But the war must end in a way that does not sow the seeds for future conflicts. This is what we continue to work on every day with Ukraine and our partners: to deliver real, long-term security for Ukraine so that we can secure a full, just, and lasting peace."

51 countries are united today in our support for Ukraine at the UN General Assembly. Since March 2025, Ukraine has agreed to a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire. We call on Russia to finally do the same. Ukraine wants peace. We want peace. Russia must stop its aggression, accept a ceasefire, and engage meaningfully in negotiations towards a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in accordance with international law.

Garry Kasparov Garry Kasparov at the Free Russia Forum: Russia's future is being decided not in Russia, but in Ukraine. From the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, our slogan has been "Victory for Ukraine and freedom for Russia," in such order. We are not dreamers of some concept of a beautiful Russia of the future. We are trying to do what we can. We do not overestimate our strength, but we know exactly what we can do. And we know where our place is. Our place today is in this war alongside Ukraine, which is defending not only its independence, not only its state and national integrity, but also all of Europe and the entire free world. It is the shield of the free world against the advance of the forces of tyranny. We are with Ukraine, which must prevail and save the free world from this invasion.

Everybody understands that diplomacy is preferable to war. Yet after a year of talks, we still do not even have ceasefire. It is not Ukraine that is the obstacle to peace, Russia is. We must flip the script: from pressure on Ukraine to surrender territory to what Russia must do to meet the basic conditions for a just and lasted peace. My press remarks following today’s Foreign Affairs Council ↓

Russia must get out of Ukraine with its war – we want no war. Ukraine has put forward proposals to our key partners, and Putin’s friends have also heard from us that a meeting is possible and that ending this war is possible. Russia must now take that step toward peace.

Ukraine is fighting for the normal and safe life it deserves, for a just and reliable peace. We want this war to end. But Russia does not, and continues its aerial terror: over the past week, more than 1,050 attack drones, nearly 1,300 aerial bombs, and more than 20 missiles have been launched at Ukraine to destroy cities and kill people. Those who seek negotiations do not deliberately strike civilians with ballistic missiles. To force Russia to stop its attacks, we need greater collective strength from the world. Strengthening our air defense, supporting our army, and ensuring effective security guarantees that will make the return of Russian aggression impossible—this is what we must focus on. Justice must prevail. We believe in the power of unity, and we will certainly restore lasting peace.

Finland, Ukraine and the whole of Europe want peace. Today we discussed how to achieve a lasting and just peace in Ukraine. Finland stands with Ukraine. We support Ukraine politically and militarily as it defends itself against the Russian war of aggression.

Syrskyi: Victory is when the enemy is defeated, peace is concluded on our terms, and we do not lose our territory — not a single meter. We must inflict such losses and create such conditions that Russia cannot dictate terms to Ukraine. That is what a just peace means.

French far-right leader Jordan Bardella on Ukraine: Tomorrow, we will inevitably have to sit around a table and negotiate peace. That peace must not be on Russia’s terms. It must allow Ukraine to secure its sovereignty, its security, and to obtain the guarantees necessary to preserve them.

We are bringing home an outstanding son of the Ukrainian people – an exemplary warrior and a prominent Ukrainian statesman, Colonel Yevhen Konovalets. Throughout his conscious life, he fought for Ukraine to be restored and to gain real independent strength. Unfortunately, at that time, Ukraine was unable to establish itself. There was not enough unity, not enough wisdom among the political leaders of the time, not enough ability to build genuine ties with the world. But Ukraine’s time has come. Independence was restored, and we defended Ukraine’s right to be itself. No one will ever remove the blue-and-yellow flags from Kyiv again, and it is only Ukraine that will choose its national path. Now, remembering Ukraine’s struggle for liberation, we all know with absolute certainty what mistakes must not be made. We know what Ukraine needs and where we must focus our attention and efforts. We know what national priorities our state must have. Glory to Ukraine!

‘We will continue to arm Ukraine and hope for a ceasefire’ – Merz on Europe’s plans to finally break with common sense. ‘We do not rule out any conceivable possibility of reaching a diplomatic solution. We understand that it will not be possible to achieve it in the shortest possible time. Therefore, we will continue to support Ukraine, including militarily. At the same time, we hope that there will be a chance for a ceasefire, and then for peace talks. But once again: this is a process that is just beginning and which may last many more weeks, perhaps even months.’ - SK

Together with advisors from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy, we are implementing the agreements of the Coalition of the Willing reached in Paris. This is a demonstration of solidarity with Ukraine — especially now, as Russia blocks any real negotiations and shows no desire for peace. We are working jointly on security guarantees for Ukraine, covering military, financial, and political support. This is a continuous process — we remain in constant contact. Yet it is the physical visit to Ukraine that allows our partners to see the real situation with their own eyes. Russia will not stop on its own. It is waging war against the entire free world. It can only be stopped by collective strength and guarantees with real substance. Only together can we achieve a lasting and just peace.

Ukraine strikes back with precise, targeted attacks, and unlike Russia, we know exactly what we aim to achieve. Peace, of course. We are not waging war for the sake of war, as Russia does. Even Hamas shows deal-making acumen, but not Putin. For now. Together with our partners, we are creating the conditions to compel Russia to peace. And it will happen. We support all global diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving peace in the Middle East, and we strongly expect that just pressure on Russia will bring peace to Ukraine and to our entire region as well. It is important that the leadership of the United States continue to be effective.
