Five observations from Day 8 of #Bengals camp. 1. Practice started in the indoor practice facility due to thunderstorms. DJ Turner shined with sticky coverage on back-to-back snaps. “I will single-handedly get DJ Turner national attention — I swear to God I will,” said ESPN analyst Ben Solak. “Every time I’ve turned on Bengals’ defensive film the last couple of years, you just see a guy who moves like the top corners move and who can see the ball the way the top corners can.”

Five observations from the #Bengals joint practice with the Colts: 1. Joe Burrow was sharp in the short to intermediate passing game, going 26-for-32 overall with 2 TD and 1 INT. After one precise throw where Tee Higgins high-pointed it, I heard a Colts safety yell, “Oh s***!”

Final observations from #Bengals training camp. This was the last practice that the media could attend from start to finish. When it was over, Joe Burrow stayed on the field to throw deep balls to Dohnte Meyers, and Landon Robinson got in extra work as well. Now, here my final observations (with video shot throughout camp):

Five observations from Day 9 of #Bengals camp: 1. Right tackle Trent Brown was cleared to practice today but spent one more day on the rehab field (tossing a 50-pound bag among other things). Look for him to be in uniform and taking part in football activities tomorrow.

A warm and sunny evening across large areas of England and also sunny, albeit breezy, in northeast Scotland🌤️ Otherwise, a lot of cloud this evening with the odd shower before more general rain arrives in Northern Ireland☁️ Turning increasingly humid in the west🌡️

Five observations from Day 3 of #Bengals camp: 1. After two strenuous days, the third practice was more of a walk-through as a precaution. “We’ve lost a lot of guys on the third day over the last couple of years and that’s every team,” said Zac Taylor. “Sometimes you can do everything you can possibly think of on that third day to limit it and you’re still going to have issues.”

Centennial High School graduation in Franklin, Tennessee was held outdoors despite heavy rain and lightning Weather is known in advance so the caroming could have been moved indoors but school officials had a “Rain or Shine” Policy so the Pre-Set Plans had to move ahead They knew the rain was coming but thought they could get the ceremony done before the rain and didn’t want to move the ceremony into the gym. From what I could find they didn’t know if everyone would fit They even had a backup plan incase it rained Staff indicated that if it rained on Thursday, they’d try again Friday and go indoors if needed then. They stuck with the original Thursday plan rather than moving it to Friday Many parents and attendees were extremely frustrated, calling it unsafe due to the lightning strikes. They were disappointing because it was such a milestone

Five observations from Day 1 of #Bengals camp: 1. Dexter Lawrence to Joe Burrow at the start of practice: “I wanna see it today Mr. Burrow.” Joe’s response: “You can see it every day brother” I asked Dexter about that exchange after practice. “Somebody has to challenge the King of the Jungle as they say,” said Lawrence. “Somebody has to keep him on edge in order for him to get better and grow. That competitive spirit won’t stop. And with a guy like that, I know he’s going to bring it. It’s going to be fun.”

Today is Grain in Ear, the 9th solar term of the year! It also marks the start of Jiangnan’s plum rain season, where soft rain and humid air turn Jiangsu into a lush, misty green world.

Five observations from Day 12 of #Bengals camp: 1. Former Pro Bowl QB Jeff Blake attended practice. Blake is currently the Director of the QB Academy at IMG and he enjoys watching Joe Burrow. “He’s got a tight throwing motion, really good mechanics, generates a lot of power in his throws, and he’s really accurate,” said Blake. “He was blessed to have the opportunity to take this team to a Super Bowl, and he’s young enough to do it again.”

For most, it's a cooler afternoon with sunny spells and showers ⤵️ These heaviest and most frequent across Northern Ireland and Scotland, merging into longer spells of rain and with blustery winds 🌦️ Cloudier in the far southeast where we hold onto the humid feel still 🌡️
