5 observations from the #Bengals local player workout: 1. Jack Dingle was a 3-year starter at UC and has elite athleticism. His RAS score of 9.82 ranked 65th of 3,460 LB measured since 1987. Dingle had nearly 400 special teams snaps as a Bearcat, and knows that will be critical to his NFL chances. “That’s the number one thing,” he said. “Get on a team and start learning special teams right away. That’s very important to these coaches. I’ve talked to a lot of current NFL players and they say “Learn that kick-step on punt man. If you make the punt team, you’ll make the team.’”

After two strenuous days, the third practice was more of a walk-through as a precaution. “We’ve lost a lot of guys on the third day over the last couple of years and that’s every team,” said Zac Taylor. “Sometimes you can do everything you can possibly think of on that third day to limit it and you’re still going to have issues.”

Zavion Thomas moves like he’s in fast forward. Ben Johnson said today: He tends to make a play every day if we can harness all this energy and make sure that we can trust him and he’s going to align where he needs to and run the route the way we need him to then we really could use him and he could be a big weapon for us this year. Thomas has been impressive. Obviously he’s fast and an explosive athlete but I’ve been very impressed by his route running in ball skills.. #DaBears #Bears #ChicagoBears
