I have never heard a claim that you can patch a tire sidewall. Also, not sure how this product vulcanizes with the tire without rubber cement I personally wouldn't trust this product, but if someone wants to be a labrat be my guest

This should only be used to get you to the nearest gas station. Rubber and metal flex differently, and the screw will back out. Over bumps, it will concentrate stress and tear the rubber.
