FOX: American cities reject Flock cameras due to privacy concerns ----- Glenn does a great job explaining the ins and outs of Flock cameras. He cites that they are unconstitutional, talks about the number of Flock cameras errors and says it is a mass surveillance system. He also asks what would Fauci have done during the lockdowns with Flock cameras? Flock cameras are an upgrade to the governments "lockdown system" and the they will try to use them again for lockdown 2.0. I think Glenn makes a misstep when he says the cameras must be used constitutionally. There is no way to use them constitutionally - they record without a warrant by default. The only way these tools can conform to the constitution is to remove them and not use them. Lastly, FOX repeats the lie that Flock cameras data is deleted in 30 days. Flock contractually obligates clients keep cameras live and recording and has even turned them back on in municipalities that have tried to shut them down. Flock wants the data above all else and that implies they are keeping the data permanently and selling the data illegally.

"I think that the United States needs to be more like China because China is the safest country I have ever been to in my entire life, and it is because of the amount of surveillance that they have. Everybody always likes to talk about how China is so scary because of their surveillance. No, that is literally why it is so safe. That is why I can travel here as a woman by myself. I've been to over 50 countries, and I can confidently say that I feel more safe as a woman because of the security that is in place in this country.”

The founders of Stripe and Pinterest on how to convince people to join your startup Stripe CEO Patrick Collison argues that part of the reason startups resonate so much is because the outcome is not guaranteed: "If it were guaranteed, it would be boring... Whether or not you're the best person in the world at what you do, you're probably not going to alter Google's trajectory. But if you really want to benchmark yourself and see how much of a contribution and impact you can make--which is a really compelling prospect for a lot of the best people--a startup is a much better place to test that." Pinterest founder Ben Silbermann emphasized this as well: "No smart person that you're hiring is under the illusion that you have a crystal ball into the future and that joining is a guaranteed thing. In fact, if you're telling them that and they select in, you shouldn't hire them because they didn't pass a basic intelligence test. I think it's important to tell them what's exciting and where you think the company can go. But also tell them where it will be hard and chart your best plan. And then tell them why their role can be instrumental--because it will be... What I would discourage doing is whitewashing all of that. If people are joining your company because they want all of the certainty and safety of working at Google but also the perks of working at a small startup with lots of responsibility and transparency, that's a really negative sign." Bret Weinstein explains, "life proceeds by finding frontiers, and that those frontiers are an indication of great potential profit at risk. You can't separate those things. That's what the market is, risk versus reward. If there isn't much risk, there won't be much reward. That's a part of the emergent feature of nature. And so you are effectively looking at three and a half billion years of evolution that produced the miracle that is you, and asking, well, wasn't there a lot of risk involved there? Why'd you all do it? And it's like, well, stop it. Speak for humanity. Nobody's inviting you to the frontier because you'd be useless and you'd be a hazard. As a growing number of cities reject Flock, some are turning to Axon for surveillance technology. The problem is that residents have primarily rejected Flock because they value their privacy — but Axon isn't any better. The company says its Axon Vision technology can currently "recognize observable activity such as physical altercations, unauthorized access, medical emergencies, or hazardous conditions" in real time, and it already has millions of CCTV cameras with this capacity. Like Flock, Axon uses AI to bolster its surveillance technology. And Axon also has multiple federal government contracts for tasers, body cameras, and cloud software. Notably, Axon has contracts to provide cameras and data storage to DHS, provide weapons and training for ICE, and more. Axon also made headlines earlier this year when it appeared that Trump bought Axon stock right before ICE sought another $220 million Taser deal which is all but certain to go to the company.
