Flow Reasoning Models are looped models. In our recent work, we turn a flow model into a recurrent model to solve reasoning problems (e.g. Sudoku). Predictions are fed back as inputs and iteratively refined. Each pass gets its own local loss. No backprop through time.

Diffusion models are an amazing tool for cofolding, they allow us to predict a protein and the molecule bound to it at once. But they are not exactly fast and require a lot of denoising steps to get accurate predictions. So we distilled ours. Meet DeCAF-Pearl: the first flow map model for all-atom cofolding. Instead of inching along the denoising trajectory, a flow map learns to jump across it. DeCAF-Pearl runs structure generation ~5x faster than Pearl, our SOTA model, while still maintaining the performance of the teacher model. That speed up allows us to run larger experiments and generate more synthetic data to improve our models. Getting there meant reparameterizing into noise-level space to stabilize gradients, committing to clean-structure prediction to keep the rigid-alignment loss biomolecules needed, and building DeCAF-Search, one steering algorithm for every compute budget. We released physics-intern: a simple harness for science problems! It gets models like Gemini 3.1 Pro to go from 17.7 -> 31.4, thus beating GPT 5.5 Pro. The physics-intern harness can wrap any model and via dedicated subagent boost the performance of the vanilla reasoning models. While I think more and more of these harness capability gains will be absorbed into the models (like prompting tricks disappeared over time) there is a lot to be gained right now by building good scaffolds for those models and integrating tools well. Interestingly, the exception we found that GPT 5.5 Pro actually didn't benefit from the physics-intern harness! Read more about it here: PS: I think the Harness[Model] notation is kind of nice.

A major question in multimodal modeling is how to leverage strong pre-trained models, such as industry-scale LLMs and VLMs, during training to avoid starting from scratch. This is important as the demand for rich and domain-specific multimodal models continues to increase, while training them from scratch is obviously impractical due to limited data and compute. The so-called “any-to-any” multimodal models can model a large diverse dictionary of modalities. That’s good. Their downside is that their architectures are often not decoder-only, which has limited their performance in practice and prevents them from leveraging strong pre-trained decoder-only models as priors. We are releasing MODUS (ICML Conference '26) a decoder-only any-to-any multimodal model to address some of these questions. A single transformer decoder predicts any modality from any others with no modality-specific heads, losses, or task pipelines. We show efficient adaptation of established models, e.g., BAGEL, to rich any-to-any multimodal modeling. We are releasing 14B to 77B parameter models. All materials are open-source. Depth Any Video with Scalable Synthetic Data AI physicists and chemists continue to make strides in depth estimation from video. Check out this new paper featuring some impressive examples. Abstract: Video depth estimation has long been hindered by the scarcity of consistent and scalable ground truth data, leading to inconsistent and unreliable results. In this paper, we introduce Depth Any Video, a model that tackles the challenge through two key innovations. First, we develop a scalable synthetic data pipeline, capturing real-time video depth data from diverse game environments, yielding 40,000 video clips of 5-second duration, each with precise depth annotations. Second, we leverage the powerful priors of generative video diffusion models to handle real-world videos effectively, integrating advanced techniques such as rotary position encoding and flow matching to further enhance flexibility and efficiency. Unlike previous models, which are limited to fixed-length video sequences, our approach introduces a novel mixed-duration training strategy that handles videos of varying lengths and performs robustly across different frame rates 0 - even on single frames. At inference, we propose a depth interpolation method that enables our model to infer high-resolution video depth across sequences of up to 150 frames. Our model outperforms all previous generative depth models in terms of spatial accuracy and temporal consistency.

World modeling and imitation learning have largely been considered two disparate worlds. In our recent work, Unified World Models, just accepted to #RSS2025, Chuning Zhu provides a dead-simple unifying solution: just train a joint diffusion model over actions and future states, but with *decoupled* diffusion time steps across these modalities. Manipulating these decoupled time steps then allows for marginalization or conditioning on actions or states; a single model can serve as a policy, forward dynamics model, video prediction model, or inverse dynamics model by simply setting diffusion timesteps carefully. The resulting model can leverage video datasets along with robot training data much more effectively, and shows improved robustness, generalization, and flexibility. Something just launched that makes VS Code feel ancient. And im all in for it: Cline Desktop app, an open-source app for open-weight models (and you know how much i love open source) brings its coding agent into a standalone Cline Desktop app for Mac + Windows. Just open a project and tell it what you want to change. No need to open VS Code first. In Cline's demo, it adds priority filters to a task board, works through the code and runs the build. Glad to see the model choice stays open, too. You can bring your own API keys, use supported open-weight models and even switch models halfway through a project!
