Despite overwhelming public opposition, Brookfield is continuing the fight. Pushing ahead with their attempts to send Canadian hydroelectricity out of BC to the United States, with no benefit to the people of Powell River, BC, or Canada. This week, it was my honour to present another petition from the people of North Island–Powell River opposing Brookfield’s ongoing attempts. We are demanding a local public hearing at the earliest possible opportunity so the Canada Energy Regulator can hear directly from those who will be affected the most!

Only 4% of Americans had a great deal of confidence in Jerome Powell to do the right thing for the economy (Gallup). If Powell ran for office, he’d be thrown out overnight because he's done an awful job. If the President can fire the Secretary of Defense or the Secretary of the Treasury, he should absolutely be allowed to fire the Fed Chair if the Fed Chair is not doing a good job.

Kevin Warsh is a great nominee to be Chairman of the Federal Reserve, and I look forward to supporting him out of committee once the DOJ drops their bogus investigation into Chairman Powell that threatens the independence of the Fed.

The president believes they have been making moves and taking action in the name of politics rather than in the name of what is right for the American economy. The president has the right to express his displeasure with the fed and believes interest rates should be lower. I also spoke to Kevin Hassett about the fed. He's called into question the fed's Independence and whether they are actually doing things out of the best interest of the economy or if they are doing it for partisan reasons. The president wants to see interest rates lower. He's made that quite clear.

This will clear the air whether he had posted content that reflected bias against me or not.

It would be unrealistic to expect no drop at all. That said, Bitcoin also tends to decline during midterm election years, so not all of the downside can be attributed to new Fed Chairs.
