Very quickly, you'll see an influx of folks with nothing apart from blaming government. For them, everything starts and ends with the government. We forget that the folks who are running the government aren't some aliens from andromeda Galaxy but from among us. Presently, we all love rage blaming. Even those who are trying to contribute solutions despite the odds against them aren't spared. We Africans need to start looking at us individually as to blame before blaming anyone else. We need to take individual responsibility. It's insane to think that somehow, some government run by characters without a previously proven track record of delivering economic output will fix our misery and yet, from how many UoX were rage posting, it's exactly that. Disappointment awaits us. We must retire the habit of blaming the colonialists/neo-colonialists. At the core of all our problems is a self-defeating culture. Heck, we even have no idea who we're. We're a bunch of diverse ethnicities that, given a chance, will ensure our tribe benefits at the expense of all else. I'm getting to come to terms with the possibility that we just may never transcend what or we are.

... and to add on this school of thought, the way government is addressing poverty is a miss, our education system is the root cause for it seeks to impart mind sets that carry no solutions. indebting the economy. We are learning outdated stuff to be frank.

Lumumba is speaking to @TimKalyegira whose heroes are google, Facebook and Apple but not our Kikuubo entrepreneur hustlers enabling whatever little we do operate at all.

We need the right government policies and systems. Everything else will work itself out. Share this with those guys the next time you visit them in Gulu.

I disagree. Africa is on a different growth trajectory. Currently we’re an agrarian society yet to fully even maximize industrial tech. Let’s humble ourselves like what the East Asian economies did embracing cottage industries and providing “slave” labor for the world.
