Raj’in (“We Shall Return”) brings this documentation work into a new medium. In the West Bank, the forcible transfer has begun. Yesh Din and Physicians for Human Rights Israel (PHRI) are publishing a new report today. Over the past two years, our staff and volunteers have visited Palestinian shepherding communities east of the Allon road, northeast of Ramallah, dozens of times. These visits included collecting testimonies, conducting personal interviews, and administering questionnaires. We also held information sessions, rights workshops, and medical training sessions and provided medical services in a mobile clinic. Since January 2023, due to Israeli policies and settler violence, more than 1,000 people have been forcibly displaced from their homes, and approximately 100,000 dunams of land were emptied of the Palestinian residents who had lived there for decades. The key conclusion of our report "Displaced Communities, Forgotten People" is that Israel bears responsibility for committing the war crime of forcible transfer of Palestinians in the West Bank - carried out with its support, by its agents or its citizens. Moreover, the state’s deep involvement, its methods of action, the systematic nature of these acts, and their repetition in different locations lead to the grave conclusion that in certain areas of the West Bank, Israel is implementing practices of ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.
