For decades, the U.S. has imported highly-skilled tech workers from around the world on H-1B visas. But the Trump administration changed the way they are granted. CBS News’ Shanelle Kaul reports on how that is impacting the pipeline of global talent coming to America.

i was finally let go after 33 years in IT, only 2 Americans were left. I watched it go from 100% American workforce to maybe 5% today. ALL of it the result of offshoring, outsourcing and H1 B visa scam. I hate the MSM because that part of the story was never told the complete displacement of an American workforce because corporate media is corrupt propaganda, they do the bidding of the corporations and politicians that made it all happen.

Notice that you didn't speak to the millions of American tech workers who've been displaced over the years by H-1B and other visa workers. Apparently American workers are irrelevant to this conversation. It's so galling. With all the tech layoffs and AI, the idea that we have a shortage of talent or brain power in the U.S. in STEM IS ABSURD NONSENSE.

It’s a LIE that they are “highly skilled.” They are rank and file jobs that any American of reasonable intelligence can do. They displace AMERICAN WORKERS. Corporations love H1Bs because they work for cheap and put DOWNWARD pressure on wages. Meanwhile our college graduates have debt and are unable to find jobs in their fields.

Around 74% of H-1B's come from India. India's a 3rd world cesspool with an average IQ of around 76. They are not tech geniuses and it's statistically impossible for a group like that to make up 74% of H-1B's. It's fraud and nepotism.
