A lot of founders have pinged me to ask what steps they would need to take to pull of what jack has done restructuring Block this way. He answers it spot on 👇 "look at all the tools you're using. Look at all the information you're generating just by doing your work. Just putting that into an intelligence and being able to query it will give you an understanding of the company that is 2-3x more than you had before, ever." An intelligence community member leaked top-secret information to a biased press, which then published it. That's the issue. Disseminating top-secret information to the public is illegal, and when filtered through biased media, it fosters misunderstandings.

I went on GB News to explain how Bracknell Forest Council is attacking free speech and democracy by trying to stop politicians from telling residents the truth about an Afghan resettlement hotel. I showed images of the four-star hotel accommodation being provided to Afghans. This is taxpayers’ money and an integral piece of information for residents to determine whether the level of support being provided is appropriate and fair. The information I shared was not confidential and was already in the public domain. If unelected council staff can decide what information politicians are and are not allowed to discuss (even when that information is not confidential), then that is a direct attack on democracy, because it shifts power away from elected representatives and towards unelected bureaucrats deciding what the public is allowed to know.

But paradoxically, I think it’s brought us back to the Dark Ages and feudal times, because a lot of information doesn’t necessarily mean good information. And so, with AI and all the data that’s out there, what I think right-wing authoritarians want to create is this kind of lord-versus-peasant dynamic that existed in the Dark Ages, when people didn’t have access to information.

For everyone in my comments pretending like Oregon isn’t trying to make it illegal to hunt, fish, and own livestock. Here is a little more information. Just because this hasn’t passed yet. Does not mean you shouldn’t acknowledge what the government is attempting to do. It’s called The Oregon Initiative Petition 28 (IP28), known as the PEACE Act (People for Elimination of Animal Cruelty Exemptions) If this is news to you look into it, and ask yourself why. Why would the government have want to take away your ability to hunt, fish, and own livestock?
