It’s a good project; however, if the engineers and contractors ignore disaster preparedness and allow rains to wreak havoc shutting down businesses and costing millions then this isn’t development. It’s reckless destruction packaged as progress.

That crack is a matter of time.

In a city where there is no proper drainage system, you can only thank Ham and wish that he works upon a few concerns noticed. We are not there yet but we shall get there. Sad people lost their property but its also good that the rains came and helped us see the loopholes.

You reminded me Gangs of London when you kept saying "bakama baffe"..

Your threat to take “your money” to the UK is empty. In the UK, you wouldn’t access public assets like you do here through corruption and your dubious connections with despot @KagutaMuseveni.

So you had blocked the flow of waste water in the channel?. You are truly a mad man. How did you expect this to end. 7 people are dead on you and still counting evil man.

NAYE MWEEEE, ARE BINO?? HAVE SEEN THIS SOMEWHERE

It’s a good project but create channels that link water to drainage

I wonder who is the site construction manager ? Where is the PPE ? This is a construction site in progress omg 🫣🫣🫣 Uganda 🫣🫣

Dr. Hamis... Actually, my biggest worry is that the chemical composition of this waste water is not only hazardous to those concrete elements but also to the steel embedded in there. I would like to let you know that I visited this site and practically, nothing is being done to guarantee structural integrity in relation to chemical reactions thereafter... Those mid columns will not serve their purpose to design life if no jacketing is done... Please engage your engineering team... Thank you.

I don't see any issue with what ham is doing, he's just try to transform downtown

Thank you sir but what about the official plan Coz now we see acades rising

You’re not the problem. Fire the environmental engineer and whoever drafted that weak contingency plan for water-level surges they failed you. The project is good, but other entrepreneurs must be protected from losses. A Ugandan shouldn’t suffer at the expense of your wealth.

As an affected trader I have forgiven u

My advices would be 1. Work in parts. Allow one section (30m max) to first get done completely before you start another one . 2. Make sure u have more Manholes (openings) to allow surface run off enter the channel. (Check the General spec for guidance on the spacing of manholes)

Bakama bamwee,???😳😳Banii???? Harm olinga namatakoooo,,,, wuliira bwekabalata man🥺😔,,,au normal embwa gwe?? We lost a lot ov items en ur toking nonsense?? What's the repuction?? but one day we shall be free in our mother Land,,,,😌😌#2026protestvote

YOU ARE RICH NAYE OLABIKA BUBI, SIMUBUBI

Thanks for clearing the air

Silly!! causing losses in millions and millions,Death and alot pain to people !! posting nonsense here it’s for God and my stomach mbatta gwe

The project is great but Compensate. Compensate. Compensate. Compensate. Compensate. Compensate. Compensate. Compensate. Compensate. Compensate. Compensate. Compensate traders and divert the water!!!!!!!!!!

Truthfully we need the redevelopment...but we should also mind about the business men and women

The project is good and so developmental, but it was badly timed. You knew October and November we receive heavy rains, you insisted on starting the project, see the losses you have caused to fellow ugandans you are calling to support you. Listening is a gift, possess it

Yo the man

Being remorseful is also an option. Lowooza!

Mr Ham, I expected you to clarify whether the people who lost their businesses will be compensated. No one is saying your project is bad of course it is good but if you bypass environmental and legal procedures, the minimum you can do is to take responsibility.

Hajji we de appreciate but the problem is you becoming are notional enemy to the business people of Kampala

SINIKILA MULI EBBINYO BY'EMBIZZI

My only concern is you took away the design you gave us and mounted your buildings on top! That was unfortunate and you are going to block adjacent buildings because of mounting buildings on top secondly it appears designs have completely been altered what happened?

I will always support you on this sir. Well done

Anko Hamis, wamma kola omwaara.

This is fantastic. From the look of things, this seems to be going to give a lasting solution to Kampala city floods.

So you commenced this “godly project” without considering the most important factor, that is, the flow of waste water? SMH

Tyrants hide behind patriotism and rob the country resources!
