For nearly two years, a shadowy paramilitary group – the Rapid Support Forces – has been terrorising Sudan. We spent months collecting evidence that identified commanders and revealed potential war crimes happening under their watch. (no paywall)

Along with @Cen4infoRes, we collected troves of videos being shared by RSF fighters as they abused civilians, executed captives and set towns on fire.

We also wanted to know who was in charge. We mapped out scores of propaganda videos identifying commanders’ areas of control, and found several of them at or near the sites of atrocities.

We teamed up with @AyinSudan, a network of Sudanese reporters working anonymously inside the country, to speak to survivors who had experienced the RSF’s tactics firsthand.

What we found was a playbook of terror, carried out by the RSF, across the country. Watch our investigation here

@nytimes “We spent months collecting evidence that identified commanders and revealed potential war crimes” so all of a sudden New York Times can investigate war crimes and genocide????

Is this a fake reportage like the ones NYT Mexico does about fentanyl and drug stuff just to hurt the Mexican government and sovereignty? The world knows your country sponsors a lot of paramilitary groups, encourages fentanyl industry protecting their local cartels..NYT is a joke

The least that can be described RSF is a terrorist group and everyone should fight them instead of sitting with them and giving them legitimacy
