Our security model — combining the Secure Element chip, a trusted display, and Ledger OS — protects your crypto against major physical and remote attacks while your device is at rest. But today, the greatest risks emerge when you're actively transacting.

Malicious actors exploit human error, tricking users into blind signing fraudulent transactions. We can't eliminate human error, but we can design around it, with the release of Transaction Check - proactive security before you sign.

This powerful new feature simulates EVM transactions before you sign, identifying potential threats and displaying the results on your tamper-proof secure device, empowering you to make decisions based on concrete results rather than blind trust.

When enabled in Ledger Live, your transaction is sent to simulation providers who assess the potential threats associated with a transaction. Your device then cryptographically verifies the assessment, helping to resist man-in-the-middle attacks as happened in the ByBit hack.

While Clear Signing ensures you understand what you're signing, Transaction Check warns if what you're about to sign is potentially dangerous. Together, they create comprehensive protection at every stage of a transaction.

It is worth adding that the security technology of the Ledger chip is built on the principle of non-extractability of private keys. This ensures that if your Ledger was stolen, nothing can be done with it anyway. Same chip you can find in your bank card, biometric passport or TEE device.

@Ledger Not TEE devices, but yes smartcontract technology is the one you find in passports and banking cards. The difference here is that it secures YOUR secrets not the ones of the bank/state :)
