Just stick with a coping saw. Jeez.

Indeed.

I like a coping saw ✅

Yes.

The house I had in Georgia had incredible millwork like that shown in this vid. Real wood too not the mdf crap they use today. Honestly. It was one of the reasons we bought it. They don’t build houses using this quality anymore it would cost a fortune.

I get it was incredible workmanship.

@Texas4Trump_24 Yup…I value my fingers!

@Texas4Trump_24 Right.

I use a 4" Dewalt grinder. Much easier and you don't need a vice.

My friend was the top trim man on embassy row in D.C.

As a guitar player, I get anxiety from watching this.. 😆

Right.

I can't cope

@SusieM414141 No need to cut it upside down bro. You’re just showing off 😂

Generally doesn’t look any better than a miter cut and takes twice as long

Professionals only? Now you are just coping.

@RogerBernards Get a coping saw,much faster and more accurate.

Coping saw with fresh blades is quicker than that jig saw

When you are doing a ton of trim/ inside corners, this attachment is more productive. I use it a lot when I'm doing trim work. Sorry, not sorry to go against the comments!

Cope... With it

I would cut my fingers off

I will only use a coping saw. But that's how I learned 25 years ago. And I'm faster than a jig saw...

An angle grinder with a flap wheel works well too

I do it by hand

@MAC_ARMY1 Fk you’re coping saw

I have even used a grinding disk in a bind to cleanly remove material.

The proper way to do internal corners

Cope master 🪚

mad skills i've only ever done this with a hand coping saw

@ShannanD7 Just use a coping saw.

He's using the collins coping foot. Way easier than the regular foot on the saw. Still not that hard with a little experience

Right idea, Wrong tool

No,no! This is the proper way...

Coping sucks but I expect losing a finger is a lot worse

I like the grinder approach better, much more control over the profile. Also the vibration doesn’t force me to use a mechanical hold.

Used this method over 40 years ago..... though with a manual "jig" saw... called "backcutting"...

Coping by hand osnt much slower and perk is .quiet

I can do that on a chop saw

not a necessary move either........if you know how to cut wood its an easy cut with same results.
