Leaders with very high IQ can work even if they can't relate to the common man, though. I think this is especially true in the military. MacArthur graduated #1 at West Point. Napoleon graduated from his military academy a year early.

I also feel communication (eg. writers, orators) can be a bit like this. But the great writers or orators can sometimes be way over 120 IQ —but they know how to pitch their communication in a more universal way, without ever feeling condescending.

Marc Andreessen says raw intelligence might be the worst qualification for leadership — and it changes everything about how we should think about AI. "If the leader is more than one standard deviation of IQ away from the followers, it's a real problem." Andreessen points to the US military, one of the earliest and most rigorous adopters of IQ testing, as the source of this insight. They slot people into specialties and leadership roles based on IQ scores. And over the years, they kept seeing the same pattern. A leader who is significantly less intelligent than their people struggles to model how those people think. That part is intuitive. But the reverse turns out to be equally true. "It's actually very hard for very smart people to model the internal thought processes of even moderately smart people." A leader who is two standard deviations above the norm of the organisation they're running also loses theory of mind, that ability to hold an accurate model of what's happening inside someone else's head. The gap is too wide in both directions. Andreessen then takes this to its logical conclusion: "If you had a person or a machine that had a thousand IQ or something like it, its understanding of reality would be so alien to the people or the things that it was managing that it wouldn't even be able to connect in any sort of realistic way." An AI that vastly outthinks every human in the room isn't positioned to lead those humans. It's positioned to be completely incomprehensible to them. As it always is, this Presidential election was once again about the economy. The majority of American people feel that they were better off four years ago than they are today. That is a big reason why President-Elect Trump won this election. As Democrats reevaluate their future, they need to do a better job of listening to the American people about their real concerns rather than pushing for too much change too quickly. That may be hard for some to hear, but it's a reality they will need to face if they want to win over the majority of the American people.

We all have the same intrinsic human value. In a world that worships intelligence and status, remembering that smarts and goodness are completely separate traits is crucial. I’ve seen brilliant people do ugly things and “average” people show incredible moral strength. We need leaders who are competent and skilled, people who can see a problem, understand it clearly and fix it in the right way. Those who keep choosing unqualified people for us are also part of the problem. They block good leaders from having the chance to speak about the people’s problems and find real solutions. Just imagine if we had only ten people like Hon. Bello Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai. Things would be much better. It is time for us to wake up. We must understand our real problems and choose the right people to lead us. There is no reason to select someone to speak for us when that person is not even prepared or capable. We need more people like Hon. Bello Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai. May Allah continue to guide you in leadership. Kaduna is blessed to have people like you.

It does not go without saying that the people that they went after first are some of the most vulnerable activists in the United States, which is to say, pro-palestinian organizers and young people, especially those who who are on green cards or visas… And the idea that we would allow our freedom of speech to be violated and create exceptions to that for people who are advocating for the lives of Palestinians, it erodes at the very core of American identity, too, because this is a land of the free, but only as long as we defend it and make it so
