Yeah.. I had the same problem with a tie I bought. In the picture it looked like a dark purple, but when I got it, it was a lighter shade. So now I have a 100$ tie I never wear because it don't match any of my outfits.

Assuming you bought it off amazon, the colors rarely match the physical product. most are photoshopped onto the models, either just color edited variants or more egregiously photoshopped over lingere. Probably why it was a brighter shade than you expected
