For the 1st time in Indian Cinema, certain action sequences in #Devara will blow up to 1.90:1 IMAX aspect ratio filling up the entire screen. 🥵 The standard aspect ratio for all Indian films is 2.35:1.

Since IMAX has been a major topic of conversation lately with ‘The Odyssey’ being in theaters, now’s a fitting time to share a little bit of IMAX lore. For ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ the arena sequences were shot with IMAX cameras, so if you watch the movie on a standard Blu-ray, as Katniss enters the arena, the film’s aspect ratio will change from a standard 2.40:1 aspect ratio, to a full 1.78:1 ratio to fill the entire screen for the rest of the movie. You can’t watch the movie this way on streaming or digital platforms. Another reason why preserving physical media is important.

Although it took more time during shoot to set the frame for two aspect ratios, and it was more expensive in VFX and post, we shot both Baahubali movies in 1:1.9 aspect ratio. And you are right, we couldn’t get an IMAX release for part 1 as we hoped to. And now Baahubali The Eternal War is probably the first animation film from India to be produced in 1:1.9 ratio ! 😊

📢🚨 CCTV Footage of the alleged shooter in the parking garage with Fixed Aspect Ratio. Nothing else has been done to the footage. No contrast, sharpening, brightness, nothing. No AI processing. Just fixed the aspect ratio from being filmed from a camera in the courtroom at an angle to matching the corners of the monitor to the corners of the 16:9 aspect ratio of the NEC monitor used in the courtroom. Might be a better view for those looking into it. Zoomed shorter version also included. I used a Corner Positioner in Resolve to fix the aspect ratio and used standard Inspector Zoom.

MTMB ARC Animated title screen proposal. This is not an ingame version but it's rendered in AfterEffects. The final will look similar but with a smaller aspect ratio to meet RMXP's requirements. Might end up using this title screen for initial boot. Music by Julie | JerryStuffRo | COMMS OPEN

Quick FOV talk on why you shouldn't use 90 FOV on 16:9 and why 74 FOV on 16:9 is a viable thing to do. FOV isn't just 1 slider, it's affected by the aspect ratio. Especially important for Console Players that cannot change their aspect ratio.
