Russia is increasingly deploying jet-powered drones with characteristics approaching those of cruise missiles, Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat said. Their speed can reach 600 km/h, while Ukrainian interceptor drones reach about 300 km/h, leaving mobile fire groups and heavy machine guns largely ineffective. Ihnat said these targets require anti-aircraft or air-launched missiles, though Ukrainian manufacturers are improving interceptor drones. #Ukraine

Every Russian cruise missile launched today was shot down. Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yurii Ihnat said Ukraine intercepted all Kh-101 and Kalibr cruise missiles in today’s strike. He noted that a 100% interception rate against these missiles is extremely rare — but this time, it happened. For Ukrainians, that means something simple: more people got to stay alive tonight. Slava Heroyam! Slava Ukraine!

Ukrainian Armed Forces Communications Chief Ihnat says it has become harder for U.S. 'Patriot' systems to intercept Russian missiles "Intercepting ballistic missiles is not easy. Only the 'Patriot' system is capable of shooting them down, but even it has its strengths and weaknesses. It relies on radar to lock onto a target, and to cover a large city like Kyiv, you need several 'Patriot' batteries. Moreover, for over half a year now, we've been seeing upgraded 'Iskander' missiles. They maneuver as they approach their targets. It has become more difficult for the 'Patriot' systems to intercept them." - SK

🤖 Ukraine has shot down a jet-powered Geran-5 drone using a robotic turret for the first time The claim was made by Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yurii Ihnat. The turrets use machine vision and AI-assisted targeting to calculate a drone’s trajectory and aim the weapon. Ihnat said he had initially been skeptical that a machine-gun system could effectively engage such fast targets. For now, the main limitation is its relatively short range. The day before, Zelensky said more than 12 such turrets have already been deployed in Kyiv, including to protect bridges, with another eight planned for the Kyiv region. The systems are automated mounts equipped with heavy machine guns.

❗️🇺🇦Ukrainian Air Force air defense operators are effectively using Patriot systems during massive 🇷🇺Russian attacks, especially against ballistic missiles. Ukrainian specialists not only skillfully destroy targets but also quickly repair and restore the equipment under difficult conditions. It is precisely to our professionals that the system’s developers turn for analysis of its effectiveness. The effectiveness of Patriot directly depends on the stock of PAC-3 missiles. Thanks to timely assistance from partners, Ukraine has withstood the winter. We thank the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Romania, and Poland for providing the systems and missiles. To continue effective defense, it is critically important to maintain the supply of missiles for Patriot systems.

'Trump gave Ukraine long-range missiles, and Ukrainians are already learning to use them' – retired US Army General Jack Keane. 'Regarding the missiles: President Trump strengthened Ukraine by providing missiles with increased range — about 400-450 kilometers. Training is underway so that Ukrainians can use them. He is adding air defense systems — Patriot installations, which are necessary to protect the population. And I don't think the issue of Tomahawk missiles is completely closed. We have enough missiles in our arsenal to provide Ukraine with a limited batch to strike very specific targets — for example, the drone production center 'Alabuga'. - SK
