Those who founded the not-for-profit, that sold the building, ARE NOW SENIOR POSITIONS IN CITY HALL! The Homeless population of Portland Metro increased by 61% over the last two years. Despite the $724 million we spend a year on the homeless, the population continues to surge. This is not an affordable housing issue. This is the lack of a model or standardized approach. Everybody is duplicating services and nobody is required to produce measurable results. Not to mention, we are a sanctuary city that attracts homeless from all over the country.

Washington State Rep says Democrats introduced Bill HB 2489 and it will be voted on this week Democrats will let the homeless setup tent encampments on kids soccer fields and city parks and make it ILLEGAL for the city to remove them I can’t believe this is real… “There's a bill in the housing committee that will be voted on this week. That will allow homeless encampments in your communities. Think about your city soccer fields, city parks, and city officials would not be able to move those encampments.”

The typical drug addicts & homeless who wander the city like zombies have disappeared as 20,000 people are expected to visit the San Francisco thanks to the APEC summit. The New York Post says sources have told them that the homeless are being "herded" out to other areas of the city. "They started clearing the tents earlier this week and there is definitely a lot more police presence," said one resident. The resident also explained that the city appeared to have the capability to do this all along but they refused. "They’ve cleared out the tents that were near the Moscone Center on Howard Street, which tells me the city had the capability to do this all along... We need is a permanent solution." Another resident said: "They are just essentially herding the problem around but offering no long-term solutions."
