The New York Post says sources have told them that the homeless are being "herded" out to other areas of the city. The large Long Beach California Pride Festival has suddenly been canceled by the City Tens of thousands of people were expected to attend but because of permitting issues the event was cancelled hours before it was supposed to take place The NGO called Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride Inc kept selling tickets all the way up until the cancellation just hours before the event was set to start (but they clearly had to have known they didn’t have the right permits) They are not offering automatic refunds, everyone must reach out to get a refund The parade is still happening tomorrow but the big festival that was supposed to happen today way cancelled It’s amazing they plan anything at all in Long Beach with the out of control homeless population that walks the beach like zombies and harass people One interesting thing to note, the city cleans up around the beach whenever there are big events, but ONLY when there are big events. “If I weren’t president, I might be out on the streets with them” - President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. I am not joining any rally tomorrow — because I know that President Marcos brought this up and as he said it is his interest to find the solution to what has become a very egregious problem. But just like the President, I also understand why people are angry as I am too and they have every right to be out on the street to express their dissent. I came across one very interesting interview of Akbayan yesterday — they were right, the call for Marcos resignation will benefit no one but Sara Duterte. This is why the Duterte supporters have been piggybacking with the issue despite the issue with the 51 billion funding of Paolo Duterte and the continuous flooding in Davao City. Well, if you will be objective about these a lot has happened after the President brought this out in the open. You can find the timeline of the actions of the government regarding this here: It is clear to me and hopefully you who are reading this — that the government is taking all measures possible to get to the bottom of this. The City of Wroclaw, Poland as you all may know gave me the Ambassador declaration of the City during my last visit there .. it is the City of Literature also and they have placed a molding of Babuji on their main Square .. it is also the City of Elfs and they honoured Babuji with this statue .. they have also named a Square-Street after Babuji, the Harivansh Rai Bachchan street square .. AND .. As a gift from the City they have sent me for this day a most loving generous and overwhelming gift .. Young musicians play the violin as a respect to Babuji 's Madhushala the tune in which he sang it .. at all the prominent locations of the City .. it is a most humbling and overwhelming gesture .. and words fail me in expressing my emotion at this point ..
