Together with the C8 leaders, we met with media representatives. The Summit’s second, economic part later today will bring significant financial and investment agreements. Around 500 business representatives will be here. Investment and trade agreements worth €1 billion have been prepared – and this is a good start. They cover energy, logistics and infrastructure, as well as cross-sectoral agreements – and there will be more. Today alone, nearly 100 business projects from all eight Carpathian countries will be presented here, with a total value of almost €40 billion. These are projects that can genuinely benefit our countries and our shared Carpathians. We need military mobility that improves our defense capability. Their energy systems are now fully synchronized with the continental European network. I congratulate to our friends—Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia—on this achievement. It’s important that Poland is helping, once again proving that cooperation between all of us means independence for each of us. Gitanas Nausėda Edgars Rinkēvičs Alar Karis Andrzej Duda Ukraine already did this back in 2022, and now the Baltic states have finally freed themselves from this dependence. Moscow can no longer use energy as a weapon against them. This also means Europe is now even more united. More cooperation is needed with America—LNG gas, oil. More efforts are needed with partners in regions neighboring the EU to import the necessary energy—the Caucasus, the Middle East, North Africa. The less Europe depends on Russia, the sooner we can guarantee real security for everyone. I am grateful to the European Union for supporting our region and our shared security.

It's the biggest completed battery project on Australia’s main grid, and one of largest battery projects in the world. It features 444 Tesla Megapacks and three Toshiba 500kV HV transformers, for a total of 600 megawatts of capacity and 1,600 megawatt hours of storage.
