So the CIA came up with a brilliant fool-proof plan. They asked Donald Lu to have lunch with Pakistan’s ambassador Asad Majeed Khan and issue a threat knowing very well that he is going to write a cipher to inform Imran Khan. After carefully studying Khan’s behaviour for years, they were 97.14% certain that Khan would not read the letter addressed to him because the only letters Khan reads are fan-mail and love letters full of praises. But, because the CIA knew all about how Pakistan’s internal and secret communications are carried out, they were well aware that a copy of that cipher will be sent to the Army Chief as well, and that’s how they can finally connect with him and get the message across.
