I haven’t been on a concert stage for a long time, and I got to work with nong, They’re really lovely juniors, easy to work with, and even though we haven’t had a lot of time to meet, I feel like I just naturally clicked with these two. They’re really good kids and all that. They’re very dedicated to their work. P'Mike : I mean, I heard they chose and performed around fifty songs, which is a lot. Guys, we need to talk about this. NOW! I’ve tested a lot of design tools - Paper , Replit ⠕ , Figma Make, and a few others in the same space, and honestly, there’s usually still a lot of struggle. But this feels different. You can start designing without any MCP connection, use an agent to help build the UX, edit directly on the canvas, and yes, it basically has the “Make it Pretty” magic button DANN© has been talking about for a while. And devs can actually work with it too. You can see the code right there. But that’s not even the craziest part. COMPONENTS! Actual components. I’m genuinely in shock. These guys are so good. Feels like the perfect time for a Contra challenge.

Our AI in Design case study featuring Linear is live! A couple things stood out to me right away as we were talking to Karri Saarinen and team about how they use AI in their flow - 1. They go waaay deeper with AI before doing any work that most teams would categorize as “design” though they rightfully see it as a key part of the design process. This means asking AI for info on how a UI came to be, who has worked on it historically, why a certain change might work or not, etc. They really use AI to deeply understand the problem they’re about to tackle. 2. The way they use AI within Linear gives them a crazy advantage. Imagine asking something like: “What designer has touched this feature in the last 5 years and why does it work the way it does?” Good luck getting a good answer for this at most companies. At Linear they have all that context IN Linear… it’s a huge advantage they have and one they utilize to no end. This approach is an incredible way to save unnecessary iterations and ensure you’re building a product that’s moving the company in the right direction.
