Mayor 6.6 accidentally stated an obvious truth today. "Deployment of the NG will impose costs on CPD and other city departments who will have to respond to protest activity and any issues that may arise from the deployment." "Respond to protest activity?" "Any issues that may arise from the deployment?" Johnson admitted he expects protests to become violent when the NG is deployed. So why didn't he take a moment to demand his progressive base abide by law, obey law enforcement, and protest peacefully? The reason he didn't is fairly obvious: Johnson doesn't want peaceful protests. The mayor wants protesters to harass and intimidate ICE, CBP, and the NG. Expect Chicago to descend into madness this week.

As I walked into the Dunbar Vocational High School All-Class Reunion Picnic on Saturday, I saw Mayor police is a sickness Johnson ,leaving with part of his police security detail. As a candidate for Mayor of Chicago, moments like this remind me of the difference between those who govern from behind a security detail and those of us who are out walking with the people, listening to citizens, business owners, and families in every neighborhood. Just days earlier, Mayor Johnson signed an executive order creating another Office of Gun Violence Reduction. Meanwhile, police officers hands are tied, Chicago families continue to deal with shootings, carjackings, robberies, and violence in their neighborhoods. Chicago doesn't need another office. Chicago needs leadership that delivers results. As Mayor, I will focus on reductions in crime, transparent government, forensic audits, accountability for every taxpayer dollar, and restoring public safety in every neighborhood, not just during election season. The people of Chicago deserve a mayor who spends less time creating new layers of BS and more time making our communities safe again. I'm running to restore our city, put Chicagoans first, and make every neighborhood safe, prosperous, and accountable once again. Police were also assaulted while trying to break up a mob action in Garfield Park, and now a driver smashes into a cop car. Under Mayor Brandon Johnson, the streets aren’t safe for residents or police.

NOW: Grand Rapids rapper, Jameson Botwinski, released a song claiming that police officers should be r-ped for the death of Da’Quain Johnson who died after pulling a firearm on law enforcement weeks ago. “Rest in peace Da’Quain Johnson. What should we do to those cops when we find them? Lock em up, don’t kill them that’s hostile. Brandon refuses to hire more cops while crime rises, and now JB wants to charge the very officers risking their lives to keep us safe. This is what failed leadership looks like. While families worry about safety, JB and Brandon side with criminals instead of the men and women who wear the badge. There was a time when America stood proudly with law enforcement — when we respected those who protect and serve. It’s time to get back to that.
