It pains me to know that the belief is that a therapist role is to "validate". I do not validate. If you are with me in a clinical setting and what you're saying doesn't make any damn sense, I'm going to have you walk me through it. What I've discovered is that a lot of the dysfunction people have is that they've never articulated their beliefs and so have no idea how absurd they are. Simply going through the exercise of having to explain yourself can be deeply rewarding. It's something we call "accountability". You literally account for yourself. Sure, I've had some female clients chimp out and flee never to be seen again at their first contact with a mirror. I've had many others weep openly that actually being held psychologically. One I will never get out of my mind was a wonderful 30-something year old woman who cried and said, "I have been in therapy for 7 years. Why has nobody ever challenged me and help me see that I'm the one causing all this shit?" That's an important question. And it's crucial that if you see a therapist, you don't see a charlatan. You can tell the good ones by their headgear.

Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as “big daddy” to “help us”. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU “volunteering” to “leave” by 60, to “help out” CanadaPod style. “Brian, I’m 24 what do I do?”. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. When you see videos like this posted below, know one thing: Many of these folks had no real family of mental and physical support. Maybe no parent or one parent. Maybe only a broke system to prepare them for—nothing. This was not their doing. Now it is not your “job” to help them, it is your survival to help them if that is what you need. See some day after the dust settles these 20 year olds will be 40 year olds and running YOUR world. And at some point you may need them more than you think you do. You will need them, as they need you now. THIS IS WHAT PAST WISDOM KNEW. The elders of the past never found the need to piss on the youth and hope for the best. Here is a drill to help you learn what it feels like to use the ground and start to sequence effectively. Notice how the club is setup in the video between my feet. Get to your back swing and jump favoring your lead foot left and laterally like I am. With that feeling step in and hit one. Not where you are pushing off from when you swing and try and get that into a feeling that makes sense to you. This is how power is created in the golf swing. This is also where physical limitations can show up.

more frontend vibecoding tips (results below): WHY YOUR VIBECODED FRONTENDS ALL LOOK THE SAME AND SUCK: when asked to make a frontend, the agent/llm will default to the center/average of its training data (in a very loose sense). through the training process, the model essentially converges on some default UI style. it's very capable of doing things that are different from this style, but you have to ask! for instance, ChatGPT tends to reply in the same tone for all users untill you interact with it and instruct it differently ("be sassy", "eli5"). the second reason is that most of us are not good at coming up with designs and describing them precisely (see my tweet on a crash course in common components, which i'll link below). treat frontend generation just like any other eng task! you need to provide a good detailed spec. TIPS: 1. give ur agent screenshots of designs you like (you may not know the right words to describe them but the agent will! a pic = 1000 words) where to find ui inspo? Behance, Dribbble, Mobbin (Mobbin is paid but worth it!) 2. ask ur agent for proposals, this helps "seed" different directions so the final frontend stands out. don't be afraid to go back and forth. 3. ban certain tendencies: no Inter/Roboto, no shadcn (controversial), no gradients, no emojis 4. encourage the agent to be extreme and make bold decisions, not safe ones. i think that the underlying models tend to get taught during RL/fine-tuning to make conservative choices that produce reasonable but boring frontends 5. give ur agent Figma MCP. the best results will come if you mockup your vision in Figma first. 6. Ideally choose an agent with vision capabilities TLDR: Most people are tremendously underusing agents for frontend design. They are much better than you might expect.

Stateless History Node is almost like a regular Ethereum node, but it doesn't store state and it doesn't have EVM execution. It's used only for syncing events and thus - is faster and gives you FREE INDEXING. You don't have to pay 6 figures for RPC anymore! Just spin up a Stateless History Node, plug rindexer or Ponder there, and enjoy free (AND FAST!!) indexing! This node is syncing >1000 blocks per second at my local pc (less than 6hrs for the whole Ethereum), and it should use less than 200GB - which means you can host it on a MacMini, Hetzner or whatever. You can futhermore filter that by using block ranges or bloom filters, etc - I haven't developed this yet. What you see is a proof of concept. It works via native devp2p 'eth' protocol, but with EIP4444 and The Prune we would have to also support era1 archives and Portal Network. But so far it works - there are plenty of peers serving historical receipts, and they serve them FAST! If you run Stateless History Node you can also serve the blocks and receipts - so that could help to preserve archival data too. For now there is no data validation yet (and even no data storage - that's a very early PoC), but we can verify validity of chain by simultaneously running a lightweight CL node (or not lightweight if you're extremely paranoid). And then support verifying the hashes of receipts and blocks with their parents, maintaining full integrity and zero trust. It's also written in rust, btw. So, I guess, at least for Ethereum Mainnet the era of RPC's pumping moneybags is over - there's finally a local, trustless and free indexing alternative available. Too sad this won't work for Optimism / Base , cause despite introducing P2P after Bedrock - they haven't enabled receipts transfer in the protocol (or at least I couldn't find one). Arbitrum is even sadder - I don't believe there is a P2P layer at all - you just have to run your own node, hold state and execute blocks to get events. There is hope - Paradigm recently released Ress - stateless execution, but it requires nodes to support Witness preparation & exchange - but this could work for L2s - cause the main blocker for local RPCs rn is huge state (VPS with TB storage cost a lot), and the second blocker is EVM forks makes it hard to hold a node - it needs to be maintained, upgraded, etc. Ress at least solves the state part. But anyways, I will try to continue working on this and release some MVP version with RPC endpoint and data storage soon - follow the updates!

Watching this clip again suddenly reminded me of that incident : when Ling didn’t like Orm’s photo for six straight days, and Orm had to go live just to clarify that she and the other person were “ just friends ” 😂🤭☺️ If you still remember this, you must be a long time fan, right? 😂 1/9/2024: Orm went live to clear things up 2/9/2024: Orm successfully made up with her older girlfriend 😌😍 Back then, both Ling and Orm spoke up to clear things up whenever rumors popped up about them having a boyfriend or a girlfriend ( one even posted a clarification in three languages, while the other went live to explain everything clearly. ) The funny part is, when people started speculating that LingOrm were a couple, that they were each other’s girlfriends and actually dating…. the two of them stayed completely silent : no statements, no denials at all 😚😚😚 #LingOrm #หลิงออม

You know I love Unreal Engine. I finally got to the stage where I started practicing optimization. For 4 hours I tried to make the glass with ice not only outside the window in reality, but also for the game. I made several variants and even interesting patterns for UV, which I will show later in separate "learn stuff" videos. The summary of this video is obvious, refraction and transparency eat like a big whale. So I had to turn it off and do it through a mask.

Then give it a name of your choosing. I had fun doing it. The beauty of it is that, no one gets to smell like you 😊 It is a beautiful place with a beautiful experience, and a wonderful customer service. You should go with your friend or partner.

Alright I’m done. It has been 3 months since I filed a claim with you UPS because you guys DROPPED my computer that I shipped and paid a lot of money to have professionally packaged and insured by YOU guys. Apparently none of that matters though. This is the computer I use to make a living and because of you I’ve had to use an old and barely functional pc and borrow other people’s computers and pay out of pocket for the last 3 months to make other options work while I wait for you guys because you guys keep stalling the claim. I took it to a computer company like you guys wanted where it was declared A TOTAL LOSS. Attached is the video of YOU guys dropping it (with sound so you can hear everything breaking). All other pictures and documents are in the claim I’ve made that’s been getting pushed off and like ruining my life for the past quarter of the year… REPLACE MY COMPUTER YOU GUYS BROKE IT!!!
