Confidential tokens preserve public verifiability while keeping amounts and balances encrypted. But to make them the new default, we need to rally the entire stack of tools we already use today, wallets, explorers, indexers, and more. It's a big lift, and it's happening now. The work the team at Blockscout 🔭 did is a step in that direction: they're the first block explorer to natively support ERC-7984 confidential tokens, verifiable transfers with encrypted amounts. We recorded a demo with DOSH | 🦇🔊 from the Blockscout team, walking through how it works, and what explorers become when encrypted tokens are the default. This demo shows the work Zama is doing across the board: onboarding the tooling the ecosystem already relies on, so confidentiality onchain becomes the new normal, not the exception.

They exclude Bitcoin while keeping ETH/Solana? Do they not know that PoS and PoW are very similar in the principles they are trying to measure? The index composition makes no sense and imo is the scary truth, that institutions in this space struggle hard to 1) understand it 2) how to value it. Protocol revenue here is literally the friction between users and forced stakeholders like miners and validators. The more revenue a protocol earns the more it took away from users to use a network. It's bizarre how this makes sense for an open protocol, it makes absolutely sense for a business and thus equities. The XRP Ledger says, hey its super cheap to make forward progress if just agree on it, no friction no revenue. We are so ahead in our understanding of this space it's not even remotely funny.
