He’s wrong. Cameras perform the same tasks as lidar because they can see, but they perform more accurately & faster. Plus, just like humans, cameras can see objects and interpret the visuals vs having to interpret the lidar light reflection and guessing the shape 😂

Sigh, good luck with that Jim. I just don’t know how you can’t see how Waymo doesn’t scale like Tesla can. I understand maybe being confused into thinking that Waymo’s technical approach is better. But just the simple math of like $30,000 per car instead of $130,000. Only thing I can think of is that Waymo is way more willing to play ball with them than Tesla is.

Jim needs to go in a Tesla Robotaxi and a Waymo back to back.
