🚨 Ford’s deadly 401 speed gamble While big rigs continue to kill and injure Ontarians, Premier Ford is increasing speed limits along major highways. On July 11, 2026, a clear afternoon on the eastbound 401 near Townline Road in Cambridge turned deadly. Nine vehicles collided in a massive pile-up....

Why isn't Canada cracking down on illegal truckers? You may have come across some of our trucking stories lately. No, we’re not talking about the patriots who were part of the Freedom Convoy in 2022. Those truckers were and are heroes. Rather, we speak of certain newcomers to our once great Dominion. You know, people who lack basic driving and language skills, yet are still somehow on the road driving 18-wheelers! And consider the number of trucks that are poorly maintained, resulting in a clear and present danger. And then there are those massive trucking storage yards in such Ontario cities such as Vaughan, Caledon, and Brampton. These yards are illegally situated on residential or agricultural land. Yet, instead of being shut down, these eyesores are tolerated by every level of government – municipal, provincial and federal. How weird is that? And as they used to say on those cheesy Ronco TV commercials, “But wait – there’s more!” Such as: many of these illicit trucking companies are fostering a growing underground economy that is breeding lawlessness on the roads. This includes everything from drug running to human trafficking. Naturally, there’s prolific immigration fraud involving temporary foreign workers employed in this industry. And then there are the rules that are being violated at every level – from the rules of the road to the rules regarding environmental stewardship (i.e., the illegal dumping of used motor oil and transmission fluid into waterways). But most shocking of all, nothing is being done to put an end to these dangerous shenanigans. Did we say “dangerous”? Correction: we meant to say “deadly”. Case in point: Adrianna Milena McCauley. This 23-year-old woman died in a four-vehicle collision on Sept. 10, 2024, on Coleraine Drive and King Street West in Caledon. Rajwinder Singh, a Punjabi asylum seeker, was behind the wheel of a transport truck that soared through a red light that had been illuminated for a full 10 seconds. Earlier this year, Singh was shockingly handed a mere 55-day jail sentence and a $1,000 fine. Was he deported? What do you think? But while those in charge in Canada are doing nothing to address this problem, such is not the case south of the border. Make no mistake: the U.S. is also experiencing issues with foreign ill-trained truckers who can’t speak English or read road signs or competently drive big rigs. The difference is that Washington is acting on this scandal while Ottawa looks the other way. Check out this media release that was issued on August 4th from the Department of Homeland Security entitled, “DHS and Department of Transportation Announce Successful Operation that Removed More than 800 Dangerous Truckers from America’s Roads.” Oh, and in case you’re wondering, dozens of the arrested truckers who were busted in Operation Highway Shield are indeed illegal aliens. Thank you, Joe Biden… Here’s the skinny: “In a three-day operation from July 28 to July 30, inspectors from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations along with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and state highway patrols, conducted roadside checks to crack down on illegal, unvetted drivers and unsafe vehicles. “Over the course of those three days, law enforcement officers: • Detained 51 illegal immigrants, including 21 drivers with non-domiciled commercial driver licenses issued by California and New York. • Placed 766 unsafe drivers and vehicles out of service. • Arrested 86 operators for dangerous behavior (including road rage and domestic violence). • Issued 36 violations for failing English Language Proficiency tests. • Recovered nearly $1 million in stolen cargo." Nice… But again, while the Trump administration is getting serious when it comes to cracking down on this problem, the Carney Liberals and, in Ontario, the Doug Ford Progressive Conservatives have no intention of launching a Canadian version of Operation Highway Shield. Now, why would that be? Did we learn absolutely nothing from the Humboldt Broncos tragedy? Our take: maybe enforcing the rules of the road would be… oh, you know, culturally insensitive. Maybe Premier Ford and Prime Minister Carney realize that the sort of people getting into this industry – i.e., predominantly Indians – represent a powerful and growing voting bloc. And offending this voting bloc would surely be very unwise for a politician hoping to get elected or re-elected. Convince us we’re wrong on this. We know we have a deadly problem on our hands with certain migrant truckers. We know who they are and where to find them. But nothing is being done. In the meantime, the roads are fraught with danger. Sometimes innocent people are needlessly killed. This is what happens when irresponsible politicians embrace a policy of “safety last”. This is what happens when those same politicians put party before country. REPORT by David Menzies:

KZN authorities hunt reckless driver after video sparks outrage: KwaZulu-Natal transport authorities have launched a manhunt for a reckless driver captured in a shocking video, as officials ramp up a zero-tolerance crackdown on dangerous behaviour on the province’s roads. MEC for Transport and Human Settlements, Siboniso Duma, confirmed that the Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI) is actively searching for the driver and his associates, urging the suspect to hand himself over. Members of the public with information have been called on to assist. The video has drawn widespread condemnation, with authorities saying the public backlash strengthens ongoing efforts to curb reckless driving. The latest incident comes despite a reported decline in road fatalities and crashes over the Easter and Passover weekend. Duma warned that intensified enforcement under operations such as #NenzaniLaEzweni and Operation Shanela will target reckless motorists, illegal street racers, and modified high-speed vehicles posing a threat to public safety. “Weekends should be about family time, not funerals caused by irresponsible driving,” Duma said, adding that social media will increasingly be used to identify and track offenders. Authorities have urged citizens to submit evidence of dangerous driving, vowing swift action against offenders across all sectors, including private motorists, taxi operators, and truck drivers. The RTI says the message is clear: reckless drivers will be found and removed from the road. WATCH:

Bolt Africa Bolt💔⁉️🇿🇦 I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a Bolt trip during which I was placed in serious danger due to the drvers negligent and unsafe conduct.... I was picked up in Johannesburg and noticed while we were travelling on the N1 towards Randburg that the driver appeared extremely tired. The vehicle repeatedly moved onto the white lane markings, and I had to alert the driver that we were driving on top of the lines..... Shortly afterwards, i observed through the rear-view mirror that the driver was repeatedly closing his eyes while driving. Concerned for my safety, l recorded a video because I intended to report the incident. .... "In the videos attached, you can clearly see that the driver's eyes were closing while he was driving. The footage shows him repeatedly struggling to keep his eyes open, which put my safety and the safety of other road users at risk." The driver's eyes were visibly closing while the vehicle was moving at speed on a busy highway At one point, the driver appeared to fall asleep while driving and the vehicle started moving into other lanes while his eyes were closed. I had to tap his shoulder to wake him up. A few minutes later, I believed he had recovered, but as we approached a traffic light l noticed that the traffic signal was red and the driver was not slowing down. Instead, the vehicle continued accelerating. When I looked again, I saw that his eyes were closed. I immediately tapped him again, but he was unable to avoid a collision and crashed into a Ford vehicle Fortunately, I was seated in the back and was not seriously injured, although! experienced pain in my knee immediately after the collision. The police attended the scene following the accident. What concerns me most is that this accident appears to have been caused by the driver's fatigue and repeated loss of attention while operating the vehicle. leven provided video evidence to the driver of the Ford because the Bolt driver was blaming the other driver despite having fallen asleep behind the wheel Passengers trust Bolt to provide safe transportation. A driver who is too tired to remain awake should not be accepting trips, as this places passengers and other road users at risk of serious injury or death. I request that Bolt conduct a full investigation into this incident, review any available trip data and the video evidence, and take appropriate action regarding the driver's conduct. I would also appreciate confirmation that this complaint has been received and information on the outcome of the investigation.

This is Waterfalls, a medium-density suburb in Harare, with big houses on large stands. In colonial times, it was mainly a white suburb. In London terms, you could compare it to somewhere like Croydon, and in Johannesburg to a place like Norwood. Now look at the road in this video. Here is the joke. The Minister of Transport, the man responsible for this disaster, was recently declared Minister of the Year in Zimbabwe. In other words, he was judged the best minister in the entire cabinet under Emmerson Mnangagwa. Just imagine how catastrophically useless the rest of them must be to be beaten by someone presiding over this level of decay. When we talk about incompetence, corruption, and the looting of public funds, some people think we are just politicking. This is what we are talking about. This is supposed to be a relatively affluent suburb. Yet motorists are forced to abandon what is meant to be the road just to get where they are going. Sometimes they have to drive on the wrong side because it is slightly less destroyed, and then they get fined for it. This is not an accident. This is what happens when a country is run by an incompetent, corrupt, and ruthless mafia. This is today’s Zimbabwe. Perhaps it is important for me to share a bit of history. When Zimbabwe became independent in 1980, roads were controlled, repaired, and maintained by local authorities, the city councils. When the ZANUPF government realised how much money was coming from motorists, they took over control of the roads and of the taxes that are supposed to ensure that roads are properly maintained. These include vehicle licence fees, tollgate fees on highways, carbon tax, and taxes from fuel. Every dollar spent at the fuel pump includes a portion that is supposed to go to road maintenance. This is a revenue stream close to a billion dollars every year. There is no shortage of money. Zimbabweans pay four different taxes just to own and use a car. The problem is that this money is looted. This is the money that should be fixing these roads. Instead, it is being stolen. They do not just steal the road tax money. They also steal from motorists again when people are forced to repair damage caused by this dilapidated road infrastructure, and then they congratulate the minister responsible with an award for it.

On November 2, a tragic accident occurred near the Kengeri bus stop in Bengaluru, where a 30-year-old woman was struck by a speeding Mercedes Benz. The impact left her with severe injuries, and despite efforts by medical professionals, she sadly lost her life soon afterward. The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old male, was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. Witnesses described the car as moving at an alarmingly high speed, suggesting a complete disregard for the safety of others on the road. The circumstances surrounding the crash have raised serious concerns about reckless driving and the dangerous consequences of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. This heartbreaking incident has sent shockwaves through the community, particularly as it happened in a busy area like Kengeri, where pedestrians and commuters are always present. The tragedy highlights the ongoing issue of drunk driving and raises questions about the enforcement of traffic laws, especially regarding young drivers and alcohol consumption. Many residents are calling for stricter penalties and stronger oversight to prevent similar incidents in the future. The loss of this young woman is a painful reminder of the risks associated with irresponsible driving, particularly when combined with alcohol. Her death has left her family and community grieving, and it emphasizes the urgent need for improved road safety measures. The incident near Kengeri bus stop serves as a call to action, urging both drivers to exercise responsibility and authorities to ensure stricter law enforcement to protect innocent lives on Bengaluru’s roads. Demand a Vote. Welcome to Caledon, Ont., the epicentre for a dangerous trucking problem that continues to spiral out of control. And it’s a problem that shows no signs of ebbing thanks to a complete lack of political will at every government level when it comes to merely enforcing the rules. Recently, Rebel News ventured out to the intersection of Hwy. 50 and Mayfield Road. The area was jammed with transport trucks. Illegal truck yards had shipping containers stacked six high. We met up with Franca Pisani and Amanda Corbett at this intersection; later we went on a not-so-scenic tour of the area. What we witnessed firsthand was shocking. Pisani and Corbett are members of the Caledon Community Road Safety Advocacy Group (CCRSAG). And when it comes to the trucking business in this neck of the woods, there is a lot to be concerned about. Indeed, the list of grievances includes: • Unsafe trucks and poorly trained truckers • A growing underground economy that is breeding lawlessness on the roads which includes drug running and human trafficking • Trucks that are illegally stored and not maintained properly • Immigration fraud involving temporary foreign workers • Rules being violated at every level – be it the rules of the road to the rules regarding environmental stewardship (i.e., the illegal dumping of used motor oil and transmission fluid into waterways) The descent into trucking lawlessness in such cities as Caledon, Vaughan and Brampton began about a decade ago. It’s just getting worse with the passage of time. So, what’s at the root of these problems? And more importantly, what are the authorities doing about this? Well, apparently nothing. And the stakes are high. Indeed, the reason why the Caledon Community Road Safety Advocacy Group came into existence was due to the tragic case of Adrianna Milena McCauley. This 23-year-old woman died in a four-vehicle collision on Sept. 10, 2024, on Coleraine Dr. at King St. W. He’s already been released; he allegedly suffers from psychological damage, you see. (When oh when is this nation going to make deportation great again?) Rebel News also reached out to the Ontario Trucking Association. The OTA is well-aware of this festering problem. Recently, the OTA’s Marco Beghetto, VP, communications and New Media, wrote a scathing editorial regarding this disturbing and unsafe situation. Notes Beghetto: “The Ontario Trucking Association has been following the chaotic situation in Caledon – specifically along the border with Vaughan – for many years. I want to be clear: the industry stands with the community in demanding that commercial activity remain within the bounds of provincial and municipal law and, more importantly, the growing number of unscrupulous carriers who put untrained, unprepared, and careless drivers on the road with our residents, must be stopped. “We must distinguish between professional carriers and rogue operators. A truck in your community making a delivery is a sign of a healthy economy. But a fleet using a ‘ghost yard’ – a site illegally carved out of vacant agricultural land or literally in the backyards of residential subdivisions – is a violation of the law. “The OTA has been working closely with some local mayors to address these issues. Yet, the problem is expanding because rogue operators are bypassing the rules that law-abiding trucking companies follow. Meanwhile, politicians and enforcement agencies at every level point fingers and debate responsibilities over jurisdiction and enforcement authority. Meanwhile, as time passes without any progress, the problem worsens.” So, what’s really going on here when it comes to enforcing the rules? Indeed, how is it that the federal Liberals invoked the Emergencies Act in 2022 to violently takedown a peaceful protest in Ottawa yet ignore the Wild West of trucking elsewhere? After all, the Freedom Convoy demonstration was comprised mostly of law-abiding truckers who weren’t causing any harm to anyone. Yet the feds now turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to illegal trucking that is leading to unsafe situations. And it’s the same deal with the province of Ontario and the various municipalities – they don’t seem to care, either. In the final analysis, is this irresponsible approach all about identity politics? After all, the vast majority of those involved in the illegal trucking racket are Indian. So, is this really all about the powers-that-be not wanting to be painted as culturally insensitive? Is this also all about not wanting to upset a growing voting bloc? If this isn’t the case, then why does this outrageous dereliction of duty continue? Shameful… REPORT by David Menzies:

Details shared by Kamlesh This incident belongs to Gujarat state, Bhavnagar - Ahmedabad highway and section before Pipali village. The incident happened on 4th November 2024 around 7:50 AM morning. The dangerous overtake by Toyota Innova car, reg No MH-04-DB-3969 could have resulted in Head to Head collision and very dangerous accident. The car had an accident and ran away. The driver didn’t have any courtesy to see what happened to the other vehicle nor to say sorry for his crime. in this video, the Hyundai car is moving in his lane with a moderate speed of 80kmph. The driver is driving in his lane. The traffic on the other side is also at moderate speed. And there is no space for overtake for any vehicle coming from the opposite side. Despite this stringent situation, a WagonR made an overtake and that was close. The ongoing Hyundai car made a bit of left squeeze to give more space to the coming Wagon R to shift to its lane without collision. and everything was all fine, The real danger starts now… at the back side, quite at distance, one innova car MH-04-DB-3969 driving with very high speed and making overtake of 2 trucks can be seen in the video, which can result in head to head collision to this Hyundai car. There was a chance that even if the ongoing Car could apply hard-braking, the accident may happen. The car driver tried to slow down and further squeezed to the left to avoid a crash but the Innova car came straight over the ongoing Car. Innova crashed into an ongoing Hyundai Car and damaged the Side mirror. This is very fortunate that the creta driver was very attentive and lucky that the unfortunate incident didn’t happen. The kids in the car were very much horrified and traumatized, which later father tried to calmed down by saying everything is fine and only side-mirror and some scratches on car body is there.. and nothing to worry.. pl dont cry.. Afterall the accident was very scary and the Innova car was almost on them and also hit their Car. Everytime the Police and administration is bombarding car drivers for Seat Belt and Seat belt has been made synonymous for road safety. But actual Road safety will prevail only when such drivers who are causing accidents on road will be penalized. This video is shared to make a message and request to whomever take action against the Innova Car for his behavior to harm other drivers, causing situations of dangerous driving and overtake. This video is also for the awareness of people and requests to please drive carefully with patience.

This is the Gokwe–Binga highway in Zimbabwe. These trucks have been stuck here for more than three days because of the terrible condition of the road. One of the trucks hit a massive pothole, or perhaps a sinkhole, and the impact damaged its suspension, including the springs and shock absorbers. The truck could no longer move, effectively blocking the road and leaving the other trucks stranded. This is exactly what we mean when we talk about the incompetence, corruption and failure of governance under the ZANUPF government. Look at the attached video. This is no longer a question of routine road maintenance. This road needs to be reconstructed. There is barely a proper road here at all, let alone a tarred highway. And yet millions of dollars’ worth of goods are transported along these routes every day by the Chinese. The companies using these roads pay taxes, licences, fuel levies and other charges to the government. In return, they are being forced to operate on roads that are barely passable. This is not just an inconvenience. It has a direct economic cost to everyone. Trucks lose days sitting idle. Transport companies lose money. Businesses face delays. Goods take longer to reach their destinations. Vehicle maintenance costs increase. Ultimately, those costs are passed on to consumers, YOU. And this is where the failure becomes even more difficult to understand. Zimbabwe is strategically located between major regional markets, yet we cannot maintain the basic infrastructure required to move goods efficiently. A functioning economy depends on roads and railways that work. In an ordinary, functional country, you would also expect a significant proportion of heavy bulk freight to be moved by an efficient railway network rather than putting enormous pressure on already inadequate roads. Zimbabwe inherited an extensive railway network from the Rhodesian era, but decades of neglect by ZANUPF have left much of that infrastructure severely degraded. This is the bigger tragedy that we can imagine. Zimbabwe has the natural resources, the agricultural potential, the geographical position and the human talent to be a prosperous country. What is missing is competent, accountable governance and the political will to maintain the infrastructure that keeps the economy moving without stealing state funds. Where corruption and political patronage determine who gets contracts, who gets licences and who gets access to opportunities, public infrastructure becomes an afterthought. Money that should be going into roads, railways, hospitals, schools and other public services can instead disappear through corruption, inflated contracts, procurement abuse and political patronage. This is not about hating ZANUPF, hating China, or being anti-government. It is about demanding accountability from the people who have been entrusted with running the country and are holding the national purse. If a government cannot maintain something as fundamental as a major transport corridor, how can it realistically claim that Zimbabwe is developing? You cannot build a modern economy on roads like this. You cannot talk about industrialisation while trucks carrying millions of dollars’ worth of goods are stuck for days because there is effectively no road. You cannot talk about economic growth while the infrastructure that supports that economy is collapsing. And you cannot hide the reality on the ground with propaganda, speeches and political slogans. Zimbabwe has increasingly become a case study in how not to run a country. The pictures tell the story. No amount of propaganda can change what people see with their own eyes. We love Zimbabwe. That is precisely why we should be angry about this. Loving your country means demanding better from those who govern it. Where is the money paid daily through toll gate fees, license discs, environmental levies, and more? If it is not being looted, why are the roads not fixed.

Emergency Call for Action on the Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway: Gross Negligence Must End We are once again confronted with a painful and avoidable tragedy on the Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway in Kaduna. The latest incident, which occurred at Kamlik Filling Station, claimed the lives of two innocent Nigerians after a heavy-duty truck carrying a container fell onto a commercial tricycle (keke napep). What is even more disturbing is not just the accident itself, but the disgraceful response that followed. For 8 to 10 hours, the scene was left unattended with no crane, no urgent intervention, no sense of responsibility. Lives were lost, and yet the system remained slow, silent, and indifferent. Allah says in the Qur’an: “Whoever kills a soul… it is as if he had slain mankind entirely; and whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.” (Qur’an 5:32) What we are witnessing is not just negligence, it is a collective failure to protect life, which Islam holds as sacred above all. This is not an accident, it is a failure of leadership and accountability. The level of recklessness on that expressway both from drivers and, more importantly from the authorities responsible for regulating and maintaining the road has reached an unacceptable level. Human life has been reduced to mere numbers. We have repeatedly raised alarms, called for action, and demanded safety measures, yet those in power have chosen silence and inaction. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you is responsible for his flock.” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim) Those in authority will answer not just to the public but before Allah for every life lost under their watch due to negligence. Let it be clearly stated: The continued delay in completing this road project, coupled with the absence of emergency response infrastructure, is a direct threat to public safety. The authorities and contractors handling this project have consistently failed in their duty, and the Kaduna State Government must no longer remain passive. We demand immediate and decisive action such as: - Deploy proper emergency response systems along the expressway, including cranes and rapid rescue teams. - Enforce strict regulations on heavy-duty vehicles operating on this route. - Fast-track the completion of the road project without further excuses. - Hold all negligent parties accountable. The Prophet ﷺ also said: “There should be neither harm nor reciprocating harm.” (Ibn Majah) What is happening on this expressway is continuous harm, and allowing it to persist is injustice. Enough is enough. We will not continue to normalize death caused by preventable negligence. Every life lost on that road is a stain on the conscience of those entrusted with leadership. Act now or be held responsible, in this world and the Hereafter, for every life that is lost going forward. May Allah grant the deceased Jannatul Firdaus and give their families the strength to bear this loss. Ameen. Cc Senator Uba Sani Sen Lawal Adamu Usman MR LA Rayyan Hussein Kaduna State Roads Agency

Boy driving truck crashes into group of Thai monks, killing 8 and injuring 14 An 11-year-old boy crashed a pickup truck into a group of monks on a pilgrimage walk in northeastern Thailand on Thursday, killing eight, officials said. A total of 35 monks from Mukdahan province, about 600 kilometers northeast of the capital Bangkok, were on the pilgrimage. Five monks were killed at the site, while three others died at a hospital, according to Mukdahan Governor Worrayan Boonnarat. Fourteen others were hospitalized, with four in critical condition. The group started the 260-kilometer walk to Ubon Ratchathani province about 30 minutes before the crash. Security camera footage shared by a local rescue group, Ruam Jai Mukdahan Rescue Association, shows the monks walking in a single line on the side of a road before the truck crashes into them. Local police said the boy is now in custody and will be questioned when state child protection officers arrive. The police said the cause of the accident is still under investigation, but said they were told by the monks that they saw the vehicle swerving before it slid off the road and crashed into the group. "I saw a boy driving a pickup truck, approaching. At that moment I was chanting 'Buddho, Buddho' (a meditation mantra)," one monk, identified as Phra Sompong, said in a video posted online by local rescue workers. "Then suddenly the truck hit at full speed and crashed us like this," he said, gesticulating. "Luckily another monk and I managed to jump out of the way in time," he added. "The first nine monks in line survived. But others who were hit were thrown into the air." Video shows monks walking before crash CCTV footage from a nearby property shows the monks walking along the road, multiple vehicles driving past and then the sound of a loud crash before the procession stops. Police said the boy had taken his parents' pickup truck without permission before losing control of the vehicle and crashing into the monks. "The suspect is a child. The vehicle has been taken for forensic examination to determine the cause," Police Major General Pairoj Thaiphutsa, commander of the Mukdahan Provincial Police, told reporters. "We've asked the child's parents to come in so we can determine who is responsible for the child's care, so we can go on with legal process," he added. Prayut Ruanthongkam, chief of Mukdahan City Police, told AFP by telephone that the child was a boy aged 11. Buddhist monks are highly venerated in Thailand, entrusted with preserving and passing on the Buddha's teachings. They often hold public processions and are widely seen receiving alms of goodwill from ordinary Thais. Mukdahan provincial governor Worayan Bunnarat said the case should serve as a wider warning on road safety. Deadly transport accidents are common in Thailand, which has one of the worst road safety records in the world, with speeding, drunk driving and weak law enforcement all contributing factors. "We've been very strict on road safety in recent years. This case should be a lesson not just for our province, but for the public in general when it comes to preventing road accidents," he said. "I think everyone involved, especially parents, needs to help, because no one wants something like this to happen." CBS, Agence France-Presse contributed to this report.
