Thank you I’ve never seen a minority group targeted with so much hate as the Sikh community and I’ve been a pro Palestinian activist for 18 years, most of the hate is from Hindu Nationalists in India and globally and people who are very ignorant about the Sikh community or minority groups. The Sikh community are one of the most lovely peoples that I’ve ever encountered as a group or individually.

As a concerned citizen and member of the New Patriotic Party, I believe that destruction of property under the guise of protest is unacceptable and must be condemned. The Ghana Police Service has assured the public of their commitment to maintaining law and order during protests. I implore them to take swift action and bring the culprits to justice. Our government has condemned in the strongest terms the appalling mistreatment of civilians, including Canadians, aboard the Gaza-bound flotilla. Today, in the House of Commons, I reiterated our government’s position. The safety and security of Canadians abroad will always be our top priority, and we will continue to engage directly with Israeli authorities at the highest levels on this matter. At the same time, we continue to work to find permanent solutions for the people of Gaza, all Palestinians and Israelis to live in peace and security with Israel and Palestine living side by side.
