Forensic psychologist Kirk Heilbrun, who is testifying on behalf of the prosecution, testified today that there were a series of conscious decisions that had to be made in order to strangle the children, ruling out the possibility of psychosis. He opined that the evidence supports she committed the act of altruistic suicide, a serious suicide attempt accompanied by killing the children out of “love.”
