I have spent 15 years professionally briefing and supervising computer scientists in program development. What could be more obvious than to try using GROK and OpenAi to develop two different, not very complex programs as a test? Up to about the middle of the development, things progressed in a well-structured manner. Then came the “patching” phase for both programs, i.e. any problems that arose were fixed “for the time being”. And then nothing worked at all. There are certainly more specialized systems for code development than GROK or OpenAI. But I cannot foresee the unemployment of all computer scientists in the next 365 days.
