ISRO has very HIGH SUCCESS RATE, unlike DRDO & HAL. Scientists are their BACKBONES. But their mass resignation is big concern. They deserve MEANINGFUL RECOGNITION. Govt. must improve their work conditions like SALARY STRUCTURE, REWARD IN CASH, PERFORMANCE BASED PROMOTION, etc.
No sir... monopolies have never been satisfactory. ISRO wanted to do "everything" that is space related and became a dog in the manger. ISR sensors are better done in private sector. And faster. Satellite building specially LEO and MEO are more efficiently (time is of essence) done by the private sector. Few very good private sector activities are in progress in SSA. ISRO strength is in launchers. And manned programmes. Continue there. Let more private players emerge in other areas of space. We have a thriving and hungry private sector involved in space activities. And we need speed to match the Chinese in ISR. ISRO takes too long. Private sector cannot and should not be kept out. Anyway, that horse has bolted. Let's look ahead.
Privatisation is one thing but to exert external pressure to syphon off trained manpower from ISRO to enable other programmes is simply weakening the core institution. Any interference from the centre and bureaucracy should be to assist growth & not be an impediment. Change should be good for all, not at the cost of one for another.
As a space enthusiast, my biggest fear is becoming real. I just hope ISRO doesn't become the next BSNL. ๐๐ฎ๐ณ
