Boosie BadAzz has reportedly been charged with aggravated assault for allegedly attacking a security guard with a glass hookah. On Monday (June 1), the Louisiana rapper appeared in Harris County, Texas, court in connection with the incident, which reportedly occurred on May 24 at a nightclub in Houston. Investigators say the incident sparked after a security guard refused to let the rapper's female friend use the bathroom as the club was letting out, resulting in Boosie allegedly smashing the man over the head with a glass hookah. The attack resulted in the man having to get eight staples in his head, according to court records. Boosie's attorney has released the following statement to TMZ about the incident: "We plan to vigorously investigate and defend Mr. Hatch against these allegations—we wish everyone would reserve any judgment and allow this case to play out in court. Mr. Hatch was trying to defend his female relative who was being escorted out of the club by the security guard. He was trying to de-escalate the situation. We're trying to obtain any surveillance from the club that will show what exactly happened." Boosie has also shared a video on Instagram denying guilt in the case. NEW: The family of Nygil Cullins is lashing out after police body cam footage was released showing Cullins getting shot by police. Cullins died in 2022 after a 911 caller said he had a gun at Fogo De Chao where he used to work. The family and police disagree on what the video shows. Atlanta police say that Cullins grabbed his gun and shot the security guard which prompted them to open fire. The footage shows the security guard getting hit and crawling away. The family and Georgia NAACP President Gerald Griggs argue that the video doesn't show who discharged the first shot. "You see him tackled, you see the gun discharge, you don't see who discharged it," Griggs said. "It's disgusting that they would sit and paint a picture that's still not true. A lot of the things in their initial narrative does not equate to what we saw," Nygil's mother, Mya Cullins said. Police were called after Cullins allegedly flashed a gun and was "acting very, very weird." "He did not point the gun, but he's yelling at everybody," the 911 caller said. The family has launched a lawsuit against the city.

Cullins died in 2022 after a 911 caller said he had a gun at Fogo De Chao where he used to work. The family and police disagree on what the video shows. Atlanta police say that Cullins grabbed his gun and shot the security guard which prompted them to open fire. The footage shows the security guard getting hit and crawling away. The family and Georgia NAACP President Gerald Griggs argue that the video doesn't show who discharged the first shot. "You see him tackled, you see the gun discharge, you don't see who discharged it," Griggs said. "It's disgusting that they would sit and paint a picture that's still not true. A lot of the things in their initial narrative does not equate to what we saw," Nygil's mother, Mya Cullins said. Police were called after Cullins allegedly flashed a gun and was "acting very, very weird." "He did not point the gun, but he's yelling at everybody," the 911 caller said. The family has launched a lawsuit against the city.

The complainant, Nilesh Mayekar, 53, and Deshmukh reside in the same housing society—Castle Rock, located in Hiranandani Gardens, #Powai. Deshmukh was arrested and produced before the Andheri metropolitan magistrate's court for remand. According to the FIR, after Mayekar won the society election, Deshmukh allegedly held a grudge against him. On November 27, Deshmukh, along with around five associates, reportedly assaulted Mayekar and other society members — Mallesh Pujari, Sohan Shetty, and Irfan Dabeer — and threatened to kill them and implicate them in a fake atrocity case. Castle Rock Society is located in Hiranandani Gardens, Powai. The complainant, Mayekar, resides in flat A/908 with his family and works as a department head in a corporate company. He has been serving as the secretary of Castle Rock since July 2025. The accused, Nitin Deshmukh, lives in flat D/406 of the same society. In 2023–24, Deshmukh was a committee member of the society. He allegedly harassed and threatened other committee members, which led all of them to resign. As a result, the committee was dissolved within seven months. On July 19, 2025, the society conducted elections. Mayekar and 15 other members from his panel contested, and his group won. Mayekar secured 130 votes for the post of secretary, while Deshmukh received only 29 votes. After losing the election, Deshmukh allegedly abused Mayekar and other committee members several times. Subsequently, Mayekar and the committee members filed multiple complaints against Deshmukh at the Powai police station. On November 27, around 4 pm, the society members held a meeting with Hiranandani Developers regarding water tank leakage and a recycling project. After the meeting, when Mayekar, committee member Sohan Shetty, and Mallesh Pujari were speaking with the developers’ staff within the society premises, Deshmukh allegedly approached them and questioned Mayekar about the removal of the old security guard. Mayekar informed him that he was discussing official matters with the developers and would address the security guard issue later. However, Deshmukh allegedly abused and slapped Mayekar. When Mayekar and Shetty decided to go to the police station, Deshmukh reportedly called someone on his mobile phone. Within minutes, around five to six individuals arrived, and they, along with Deshmukh, allegedly assaulted Mayekar, Shetty, and Pujari with punches and kicks on their heads, stomachs, ears, and noses. Mayekar began bleeding from the nose. Another society member, Irfan Dabeer, who arrived at the scene, was also beaten by the accused. Five Years in Power and Still Hiding Taliban Supreme Leader Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada marked the fifth anniversary of the Taliban’s return to power today by taking his victory lap through the streets of Kandahar. Well, “victory lap” may be a bit generous. Haibatullah traveled inside a black vehicle with all four windows completely tinted, surrounded by members of his special security unit deployed on foot and in Hilux vehicles. Not so much as a glimpse of the Taliban leader himself was visible through the windows. Since the Taliban returned to power, this appears to be the first time the notoriously reclusive Haibatullah has been seen traveling publicly like this in Kandahar. He may rarely show his face, but his presence has been felt in nearly every aspect of Afghan life. For five years, he has issued decrees stripping women and girls of their freedoms, indoctrinating a generation of Afghan boys, harboring terrorist organizations, deploying terrorists across Afghanistan’s borders, torturing former Afghan security forces and U.S. allies, and presiding over a regime that has once again made Afghanistan the international epicenter of terrorism. Apparently, everyone in Afghanistan has to live by Haibatullah’s rules. He just doesn’t have to show his face while imposing them. Nothing says victory quite like hiding from the people you rule. He will always be a coward.
