Stolen from where? It was not a used iPhone It was new, purchased from an approved Apple Store and we have all the receipts intact The attendant saw our indignation and went ahead to consult with her superiors They scanned again and they declared that it was reported “missing”. They adjusted their language from stolen to missing and told us it has zero swap value. I was not shocked at all even though I should be. Nigerians like cutting corners for unhealthy gains and they always believe this is good business for them as long as they were able to make a buck. Somehow we were able to walk out of that Apple Store without any drama but I remember telling my wife that we would have had a lot of explaining to do if they had a policy that required that they must report such incidents to the police. Nigerian business people must try to do better than this There is something called integrity, it has a higher value than the dirty gains they think they are getting by playing dirty. I have always insisted on buying things in Nigeria because it helps the economy but I can see the reason many prefer to shop abroad. We must do better than this as a people. -GSW-

A half eaten apple, the cross that was placed on their clothes, and their name that was finally carved together. #TicketToHeavenEP4 ☆ That apple reminds me of the apple in Adam and Eve story. It's like a symbolic way of how they gave in to something that was considered as 'forbidden' ☆ The cross. I saw the hesitation in Tanrak's eyes when he took it off. It didn't feel like he removed it simply because he was afraid of losing it. Instead, it was as if guilt was gnawing at him, like if he kept it on, he would feel the heavy weight of God watching him. Taking it off was like the choice to let go of that guilt and judgment ☆ The names on the tree. Carving their names into the tree feels like their permanent vow. As if a physical mark that Tanrak chose Barth, for now. Apple celebrates its 50th birthday next week, which is a reminder that “Forrest Gump” has Hollywood’s best angel investment ever: Gump and Lt. Dan early in Apple. They get to Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak before the April 1976 launch and prior to first official $250k check from Mike Markkula, who briefly owned 1/3rd of Apple for his investment. That would value at Apple at $750k. Since Gump and Lt. Dan were unsophisticated shrimp guys instead of tech investors, they probably got pinched on valuation by Jobs and paid $100k for 10% of Apple. That would be worth $180m at the Apple IPO in 1980 ($1.8B market cap). An 1,800x return in 5 years. Gump is a loyal dude so probably sold everything when Jobs was booted in 1985. On the other hand, he thought Apple was a fruit company and is financially illiterate…so Gump is likely still holding that stake, which is now worth $300B+ (my calculator broke trying to figure out the ROI).

My initial problem with Liquid Glass was that it was terrible for accessibility despite how beautiful it looks it certain places. There is literally only one way to solve this readability issue – make the glass frosted/opaque. And from the public backlash that Apple received it was pretty obvious that it was a matter of time before they made this change. The problem now is that when you make it opaque, it barely looks any different from iOS 18, yet it keeps eating up resources and draining your battery. 3 betas in, and I still feel like this design direction was a big mistake.

I know many people have seen this video but I’d like to break it down a bit. I found this interesting for the timeline I’ve been putting together. Many of you have seen it. I’ll publish it again soon updated. Mark met Candace before she was anyone at TPUsa? Back in early 2017 at a TPUsa event? This is when she started doing her YouTube videos that took off. Was she stalking conservative events and high profile people to get into the circle? Did she stalk Charlie for months at events? Interesting. I remember her talking once about running around a TPUsa event handing out her cards to people so they’d know who she was. And then when Mark met her he offered to help her financially by giving her 1k a month for her bills. By just meeting her at an event? Because he was impressed with her. And thought she had potential. And she wasn’t a TpUSA employee? She’s good at manipulating for sure then. Then Charlie hires her at TPUsa in November about 6 months later then when Mark met her. That seems to be when she sent Mark the vile text saying she didn’t want to ever talk to him again with no explanation. I think it’s because she didn’t need him anymore. She succeeded in getting Charlie to hire her. It lines up. Then he says Charlie and him are hunting while the Kanye blowup is going on. So it’s really early in the Candace saga when Charlie says he needs to apologize for something. That people don’t change meaning Candace. That was Oct 2018. He says on that trip it was obvious Candace and Charlie had issues. Remember Candace was fired in May of 2019 from TPUsa. So Candace was being vicious from the beginning? I bet she was the one blowing up his phone in this clip. I wonder how long after Charlie hired Candace he regretted it. I bet immediately but he had her sign a contract the day he met her so he was locked in. My question is all this is was she stalking TPUsa events to get hired before Dave Rubin introduced Charle and Candace? Dave met her in early 2017 too. Mark says he tried to warn PragerU and DW about her. And that PragerU ended ugly. Why would these companies hire her after they saw what she had done at TPUsa. That will always confuse me. No matter how popular someone is if your friends are telling you she’s psychotic why would you invite that in? Just thinking out loud. So she’s made enemies with Dave, Mark, Dennis, Jeremy, Andrew, Blake, Mikey and everyone that she’s come into contact with. They all say she’s psycho. But she’s not the problem? Anyone see a pattern? every action has consequences and yes when Daou is cutely possessive over Offroad we all love it but this reaction reminded me that more than once and in similar events people grabbed Offroad in the most disrespectful way and we all remember how upset Daou was - to me his first concern was probably that someone was going to grab Offroad again 😔 imagine how this impacted them and one rotten apple is enough this is why is so important to be mindful when interacting with idols but after the first reaction they were all smiles so I am sure everyone there did their best and I hope you had the best time ♥️

I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? I honestly cannot believe we are living on the same planet with people who see this and still say, “she’s the victim.” Not morally. Not logically. Not emotionally. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? I honestly cannot believe we are living on the same planet with people who see this and still say, “she’s the victim.” Not morally. Not logically. Not emotionally. I haven’t commuted into central London for a few weeks so managed to somewhat forget how radicalising an experience it can be. On both trains this AM I was the only Briton - it was not like this pre-2020. A man was smoking a spliff in the carriage and another decided to serenade us with his Bluetooth speaker (his music taste was poor). Multiple fare evaders (reflecting London’s wonderful diversity) at the barriers. When boarding the Underground, we had to listen to this announcement on a loop. ‘Phone theft is common at this station’ every 30 seconds. I’ve never heard the CT/61016 or no smoking announcements that often. This is what I expect in a third world country (although, in fairness, I’ve travelled to some and even they don’t have to warn people not to have their phones out on public transport). We are in living in a first world, highly developed country. It should be safe to stand on a platform inside a transport station *in the capital city* of this advanced economy without being barked at to not have your phone out because it’s so unsafe. Here’s a novel idea: instead of stopping people from having their phones out, how about we robustly deal with phone theft, get BTP onto platforms to rugby tackle the thieves, and lock the scum up for considerable periods as a deterrent to others? Stop dealing with things downstream and making life miserable for the law-abiding country. Tackle problems at source. Tourists hearing this shit must think they’ve accidentally ended up in a failed state.
