“AI will be used just to make things faster” They’ve been doing perfectly without the need of AI for the past 9 years, that is no excuse.

We can never have something good in this game without having it be followed by bad news every time. Why use generative AI at all when they're capable of making it on their own??? The concept art and things they blocked out already looked great, there was no need to use AI. They're just using it to use it for no good reason at all.

i understand and can appreciate artists using ai to help work flows but it seems like epic is advertising this as "we dont use ai" when it should be "we use ai to help the workflow" "The creative control stays in the hands of the creator" which means they can just regenerate a section that wasnt generated correctly the first time but also after all those lay offs paying for an employee + multiple ai subscriptions seems like they could just hire digital artists to make concept art too eg, destiny had artists who used the same texture bashing/ 3d asset/photoshop draw over method this is just corpo pr speak for "we fired people, we are using ai, we are saving money, pat us on the back for it"

They presented this in the softest most easily understandable way possible and people still freak out at the slightest mention of the word AI Literally what is the problem with this it’s just making things easier

they also cut to hide the fact that the character goes through multiple prompting it took 43 minutes from the first prompt to where they cut showing the character

weirdly enough, i see this as a good way to use ai for art? seems to save the artists time on making the work and i dont think its enforced, but rather optional

Absolutely useless ai “process”. The artists are good enough to make the art without it.

If they say Ai will be used to make things faster, especially for building new locations in the game, then I say slow it down and do by yourselves? They were doing perfectly fine before and every location used to feel very special and had a soul, now it’s just conveyer locations

I miss when bosses and henchman actually spawned in a poi similar to the agency and actually gave the mythic 100% and not just spawn randomly around the map has a low chance of dropping the mythic weapon. Back when characters actually had their own poi’s

The next creator platforms may win by helping creators organize demand, not just produce supply.

People are really mad they are using AI which yes it sucks but at least they arent fully committed to using the AI entirely, they still use their own hands and time to make things, this sucks as a whole but be thankful they haven't fired more employees to go full AI like this
