Froun, in southern Lebanon, lies just south of the Litani River, well outside Israel’s so-called “Security Zone”. UPDATE: In a major escalation, Israeli drones have assassinated a Lebanese army commander general today while he was heading to his base in Marje'youn, South Lebanon. The strike happened before Khardali point, right where the Lebanese army rediculously suggested coordinating with Israeli army in a piloting zone on dismantling Hezbollah weapons. Yesterday, this Leb Army General was in charge of the army forces that took control over Debbine after Israeli withdrawal, and sent them without their weapons. Last week, Israeli drones killed a Christian family with their daughter on the same road, heading to their home in Marje'youn. This happened after yesterday's interview with pro american president Joe Aoun, with Christian Amanpour, when he rediculously agreed than there are "no hostile intentions between Lebanon and Israel", and after blaming Iran and Hezbollah for the atrocities committed by Israel in Lebanon and failing to mention that Israel is killing and attacking people and occupying parts of South Lebanon. UPDATE: In a major escalation, Israeli drones have assassinated a Lebanese army commander general today while he was heading to his base in Marje'youn, South Lebanon. The strike happened before Khardali point, right where the Lebanese army rediculously suggested coordinating with Israeli army in a piloting zone on dismantling Hezbollah weapons. Yesterday, this Leb Army General was in charge of the army forces that took control over Debbine after Israeli withdrawal, and sent them without their weapons. Last week, Israeli drones killed a Christian family with their daughter on the same road, heading to their home in Marje'youn. This happened after yesterday's interview with pro american president Joe Aoun, with Christian Amanpour, when he rediculously agreed than there are "no hostile intentions between Lebanon and Israel", and after blaming Iran and Hezbollah for the atrocities committed by Israel in Lebanon and failing to mention that Israel is killing and attacking people and occupying parts of South Lebanon. What a pathetic situation!

Israeli Defense Minister Katz said the IDF may take control of territory in Lebanon if the Lebanese government fails to stop Hezbollah from attacking Israel. "I warned the President of Lebanon that if the Lebanese government does not know how to control the territory and prevent Hezbollah from threatening the northern communities and firing toward Israel, we will take the territory and do it ourselves," Kayz said. He added that he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the IDF to prepare to expand operations in Lebanon to restore security to Israel’s northern communities.

The Lebanese theatre continues. They locate rockets that were damaged, rendered unusable, and abandoned by #Hezbollah, and declare that they are ‘disarming’... On December 4th, a video was published showing a Lebanese Army force together with #UNIFIL moving through an area west of Marjayoun, south of the Litani. In the video, a Lebanese Army Land Rover jeep can be seen carrying approximately four rockets, supposedly. The jeep is accompanied by several other Lebanese Army vehicles as well as UNIFIL vehicles. The report claims that the Lebanese Army, accompanied by UNIFIL, acted to dismantle Hezbollah military positions and remove rockets from them. This is an area that was heavily attacked by #Israel (as stated in the report), both during the war and during the ceasefire. The Lebanese Army is coordinated with Hezbollah. It only arrives at sites in southern Lebanon if Hezbollah allows it, for appearances’ sake. The ‘disarmed weapons’ are usually weapons that were already rendered unusable due to Israeli strikes and that Hezbollah had already abandoned. If the Lebanese Army does, in fact, ‘by mistake’ take functional weapons or weapons that can be restored, they are usually returned to Hezbollah if Hezbollah demands them. The Lebanese state and the Lebanese Army cannot (and do not want to) disarm Hezbollah. Every day that passes—due to the American desire (and sometimes also the Israeli one) to give another chance—further strengthens Hezbollah’s recovery.
