"From my own considered opinion..." I'm using that from now on loll.

You know the English teachers then were reading things.

Even the way they all spoke. We have lost it mehn!

Really interesting how time and opinions changes. It was a different time then, I love the innocence. Thanks for this video. BTW, this street interview took place close to the market at Jibowu, just before one gets to Yaba market. Saw some buildings in the video I remember

Truly a different time.

Everyone speaks so well

It's the Grammar school education. It, of course, translates to even the streets.

Sometimes I wish I knew what it was like to live in that version of Nigeria

I think that with newer technologies, even beyond VR, we may have commercial products that can take us to simulated environments at any time. It won't be the same, but it will at least give an idea of what different time periods were like.

For one, Ojukwu did not just tell them lies so they could leave Nigeria. We as a country have not come to grips with what happened during the pogrom, not then and definitely not now. Saying the Igbos were deceived by their leadership is a terrible attempt to explain away 1966.

Look at how eloquent and sound they'd being. How did the seed of bigotry manage to ruin this nation like this 🙏😭

Can you pick random people in Nigeria today to give crisp opinions on sentimental issues with such clarity and straightforwardness? You could see the innocence and honesty in the way they all responded. Sadly, we're a broken people all over. Not by war this time, but through politics.

Our accent was so beautiful. We have lost this art

Idi Oro, Mushin. Lagos They speak so well

They spoke very well, with good diction.

Jesus Christ!!!!😲😲😳😳 An average Nigerian we're this sound with English vocabularies even as at 1970s?? But now the level of illiteracy on the street is alarmingly painful 😭

A sincere opinion, one of the interviewee said Ojukwu told lies and fed lies to the Eastern people. I'm asking us now, we are all exposed and I believe educated, what is or were the lies Ojukwu told.

Part of the reason was that at the time, a lot of people heavily depended on the government as their trusted news source, & of course they are in the capital, so imagine the kind of propaganda at the time. Wartime propaganda is even worse; it's on steroids. Today we have access to all this information, & propaganda still thrives on social media.

Thank you for this, very much fair and understandable.

Idi oro. Tbh all these recent tribalism is politically motivated. We are different people and that’s not a problem, we’ve always known how to manage ourselves

Igbo people see here how you are being loved by Yoruba's But hatred would let them continue to hate on Yoruba for no reason

Does this guy look like any well known person currently? Even speaks like him, but in good English

Igbo needs to go now and leave us alone . Sadly the experiment has ended and we now see that the damage cannot be reversed.. we should stop caring about them and let them go back to their forest to do as they please.. they’ve brought us down to their level of insanity. Victims

Yorubas are naturally liberal and this wandering scavengers from the East are taking our kindness for weakness.

Really sad how the country has lost the ability to speak so cleanly

The Yorubas' BIGGEST MISTAKE.

I love this video. Everything about it.

Listening to old English commentaries you will just know what many of us speak today has been totally diluted. Mehn just listen to the literal concord coming from this man.

Our fathers biggest mistake because if we had given them the PH treatment they would surely respect and fear us

Those were our foolish elders who didn’t do exactly what the northerners did to them or what their SS neighbors did to them. I blame them. If these people misbehave and things go berserk. They will count their teeth before they count their losses.

It’s the woman that want talk sense into Ojukwu for me. So fearless

You can see and feel the calmness, composure, and sense of etiquette in their behavior. These days, the average Nigerian seems frustrated and often struggles to communicate eloquently.

The air was so clean. Now it's just chaotic everywhere, even in our thought processes and word structure.

Interesting how Nigerians accent has changed over decades

Yorubas were so happy Igbos were forced back into the SW region and into Nigeria..

guy see sanity

Young people in the 70s were far more intelligent than young adults in 2020s

The IBO leaders consistently lied to the young generation. The Yorubas has Been good to them, accommodating nd very friendly but, the young generation of the ibos sees opportunity for competition instead of seeing the embrace the Yorubas showed them.

😅 funny woman

The accent man! They sound more intellectual than us now. How did Nigerian got infiltrated.

Yariba people has been living in delusion since the beginning of time.

Now they don grow wings and wants to send owners away
