Why must we keep promoting female ministry? It is solely the priest who is able to act in persona christi during the Mass. Although many women serving at the altar have good intentions of being of service, that does not change the reality: the purpose of altar servers is to foster future priestly vocations. Some might argue, "But women serving at the altar can foster future religious vocations." Not necessarily, because nuns do not belong at the altar. Their mission is beautiful and very important, but it is different. This type of unnecessary inclusivity has contributed to the effeminacy of the Church and the shortage of vocations. A boy who sees a priest surrounded by female altar servers will not perceive that as masculine, nor will it motivate him to join the group. When I talk against this, you will find some priest that will insult me saying you are not into pastoral. This is wrong and I am against it, the Pope Leo has talk about this inappropriate comportment during the mass. The church is a place of worship, the altar is a place of holy sacrifice not for an irritating spectacular dance that is not liturgical.

We come to Mass not to dance, clap, focus on the priest, etc. Jesus is the reason why we come to Mass. Jesus is why we are Catholic. Not the priest and definitely not the Pope. We are Catholics because of Jesus.

I accept the fact that the Catholic Church has those who are called extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist. But in this case, where a priest is right in front of the altar and is leaving that extraordinary minister, if I can assume, to return the Body of Christ to the tabernacle, I don't find it right. He can do that himself.

“Extraordinary Eucharist Ministers” should be abolished. There is no need for this policy. It undermines the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. A priest’s hands are consecrated for the purposes of the administering the Sacraments. Priests are formed and trained in distributing Communion. There is no need to have Sue and Karen distributing our Lord like a snack dispenser. This does nothing for the implicit teaching of the Real Presence. The excuse of long lines is a faux par. Altar rails make things simple: people kneel with their mouths slightly open, tongue slightly out, and the priest moves down the rail blessing and administering the Sacrament. It takes no time at all. But even if it did, time is irrelevant during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It is a moment when heaven and earth are joined together. We kneel for humility and reverence, but it also most efficient. This EMHC/EEM policy is sacrilegious and unnecessary. Redemptionis Sacramentum (2004) limits/restricts their use, but somehow they have become the norm in N.O. Parishes. Why does the Vatican not speak out on this?
