The prodigal son demanded freedom from responsibility and discovered that unchecked freedom leads to destruction. True freedom is not the right to do as we want; it is the right to do as we ought. Every freedom carries responsibility, and every choice carries consequences. As believers, we must recognize that freedom is a gift from God that must be stewarded wisely. We are called to stand against hatred, defend truth, and live in a way that blesses those around us. Our lives are connected, and what affects one affects all.
