Haha! I filled out a form at the Hospital, and when they asked me 'Avez vous de la grossesse?'. I said Yes, I am a bit chubby. The nurse said: I believe you do not speak French right?

Funny ending, surprised me 🤣

Its rather simple "Grossesse" comes from "grosse" which used to mean pregnant and now is antiquated. And comes from the fact that the belly is bigger than usual... And "enceinte" comes from the fact that she holds and protects the baby within her. One is factual the other poetic!

There's a missed opportunity here to highlight the French word for a condom: un préservatif. 👀 what exactly are we preserving? A baby-less way of life? 🤷

German (the character) is so creepy 😅.

The English is probably making a delivery at the hospital
