Rmanian here. I want to add: Trump gives everithing on plate to Russia, including Eastern flanc, Ukraine etc. Ukraine gives his blood, lands, resources. He asks everything from EU (only hard efforts and taxes and EU delivers them). What Russia offers? What Trump asks from Putin?

Second, President Trump acknowledged the role of NATO expansion in causing the war: TRUMP: “So for twenty years, I heard that if Ukraine goes into NATO, it's a real problem for Russia. I've heard that for a long time. And I think that's really why this war started. I'm not sure that this war would have started. Biden was saying all of the wrong things. And one of the wrong things he was saying, “no, Ukraine will go into NATO.” … It's always been understood. And that's even before Putin. It's always been understood that that was a no-no. And also, it's a mix of a bipartisan effort. Sports and music is bipartisan and apolitical worldwide. It's brilliant. But you've also got the Canadian prime minister, the Mexican leader. They have big issues on tariffs right now. So maybe a sidebar somewhere in here, a little business with pleasure. I think that's on the agenda today as well.
