A family of eight had gone for a Sunday outing to the Bhavli Dam and waterfall area in Igatpuri town in Nashik. Little did they know their picnic would turn into a nightmare. A group of men allegedly sexually harassed one of the women in the group. When her husband objected, the men assaulted the family, chased them for nearly 20 kilometers and attacked their car with sticks and iron rods. The dispute began when two men at the site allegedly whistled at and sexually harassed a woman from the family. When the family objected, the accused turned aggressive. "We had gone for a picnic. We had our food, played in the water, and then we were leaving. That's when two people there called out my name and started harassing me," the victim said while narrating her family's ordeal. "I scolded the men. My husband also confronted them and asked why they were harassing a woman in a public place." The angry men then abused the family and were soon joined by others who ran food stalls nearby. "Soon there were 8-10 men and they all charged at us," the victim said. The family tried to pacify the situation and walk away, but the men were in no mood to let go. An argument ensued and the group continued abusing the family. "After a little confrontation, we tried to leave. When we moved in our car, they blocked us and started smashing our car windows. They then chased us for nearly 20 kilometers. They damaged our car completely with iron rods. The car is completely destroyed." There were children in the car when the men attacked it. "The children are still so scared," she said. On the family's complaint, Igatpuri police have detained nine of the 10 accused and are questioning them. A hunt is on for the remaining one accused. Police have also said that one of the accused has a prior murder case against him. The family also alleged that the men snatched a gold chain from the neck of the victim's husband during the tussle. One member also lost her mobile phone. Police are trying to trace the location of the phone.

A group of police men raided the homes of over 150 people yesterday in kunchigoro in area 1, arrested all of them, men and women. Some were dragged out of their beds, some from the bathrooms, some people playing football on their turf, bundled all of them and took to Guzape abattoir station. They’ve refused them access to lawyers, and even their families, unless their families pay between 1K - 3K to them before they can see them. Now they want to charge them to court? Haba! What are their crimes first? Why is the Nigerian police like this? No rule of law, nothing!

Flogging of Meherun Nesha in West Bengal’s Chopra was not an isolated instance of Mamata Banerjee’s men dispensing instant justice… Jayanta Singh, an associate of TMC MLA Madan Mitra, and his gang, routinely whip women in public. They recently lynched a woman and her daughter in Ariadaha, part of Kamarhati Municipality, Dum Dum. But this is least of his crimes… Here is another horrific video (13 sec) of the same TMC men, brutalising a hapless girl in their ‘Insaf Sabha’, in Taltala Cub in Kamarhati Assembly. This happened some six months ago in Dum Dum, which is not some remote area but part of the Greater Kolkata region. TMC men usually target women, who turn down their overtures… Perhaps Mamata Banerjee can explain why her confidant Madan Mitra’s men are assaulting women with such impunity. Also, will she teach her daughter to pay equal bills and not be a gold digger who wants a man with a high income, an own house, a car, and property? Cooking is a basic life skill. Millions of men in India cook by themselves, hostel residents, college students, working men, chefs, and so on. But feminist women expect men to pay all the bills while also cooking and doing house chores. While they won’t do anything in return. They don’t want equality; they want to make men slaves.

A Delhi-registered car went out of control on the Dudhli road in Mussoorie late Saturday night and slipped off the road amid rain and slippery conditions. Instead of plunging into the gorge, the car got caught in a tree, reportedly saving the lives of the two men inside. Both men from Dehradun were injured and remained at the spot overnight before locals spotted the vehicle and alerted police the next morning. They were taken to the Sub-District Hospital by 108 ambulance.
