So, some kings.

Yea, right. The notion of a priest embodying the offices of prophet and king stretches credulity. A priest cannot prophesy divine truths, nor can he claim a kingdom when his role is one of servitude, not sovereignty. The irony is striking. We the laity, through our labour and resources, sustain the very institution meant to "serve". A dynamic more akin to patronage than pastoral care. A priest’s calling is to live as a priest, embracing poverty, chastity, and obedience. These vows bear no trace of prophetic vision or kingly grandeur.

The 'Christ Is King 'crowd might especially be edified by this homily.

More than ever we need authentic religious knowledge and authoritative teaching. It’s great to see that being provided by the church instead of by political opportunists. May these priests triumph in all of their spiritual battles.

Calling a priest “Father” in a spiritual sense contradicts Jesus’ command. “And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.” -Matthew 23:9

-Auspicious day, indeed. The order of events works to establish a civil society centered about an ideal, and I'm certainly for extending this rare opportunity to the still rarer candidate who may perpetuate our Roman identity for coming generations. I wish I could help, though that's probably vanity complicating the idea. With time, I shall successfully accord to a mind of Christ in this matter, right now I know awe. Well done, gracious sir.
