It seems a bit harsh on the Irish president. It’s not to “reduce” St. Patrick it’s to notice something about his life that I might overlook. Christ is among us as the foreigner in Matthew 25. I appreciate the reminder that Saints have been slaves. Remembering to have compassion on migrants is just basic Christianity.
